Hi there Folks--

Haven't posted in a while, life has been crazy, and because of such we have had to postpone our January '09 trip to possibly May.

Am I crazy to go in May or are the crowds still manageable?

Thank you in advance for the great advice :)

May is our families favorite time of year to go. We have been 3 times during early may. The weather has always been quite warm but not so humid and so easier to handle the heat. Crowds were moderate but manageable. I see you are from southern California, we are heading down there in May for a week vacation at Disneyland.:cool1: and then to WDW in September.
P.S. I'm a quilter too!!

We love May weather...not too hot and it's perfect for swimming. Crowds are not super low, but definitely manageable if you go early, utilize EMH, FPs, etc. You will have a great time! :wizard:

The first or second week is our usual annual trip time. (Going in December this year to see the Christmas decorations again!) We find the crowds very manageable (get there early and do most of the "must-do" stuff in the morning and you can get to everything with minimal (or non-existent) waits.

The weather can be hot, but the humidity is not neary as bad as the summer months.

We're going in May too! Late may after the memorial holiday weekend. good to know it hopefully won't be too hot. :)

Now I can start to get excited again about going. DH and I had our doubts about going so late but now I am glad the crowds are manageable.

I am also pleased to know it won't be too hot there in early May. We normally go in late January, early February, but again, because of life in crazy times--we must postpone...kind of a bummer, but at least we are still going. :thumbsup2

We definitely utilize those FP's and EMH's. :thumbsup2

Normally, we are park commandos in the morning and then we rest in the afternoon and do what we feel like in the evening. That definitely makes for a more relaxing day ;)

DH and I are just happy that the crowds are not too bad (at least we are keeping our fingers crossed).

Southern CA in May is great. Disneyland crowds are ok--manageable is the key word :)

It's always nice to meet a fellow quilter too!!

I miss going in May! It was my favorite time of year to go, but we moved our time share to Spring Break week (ugh. so crowded)

May crowds are nothing to worry about - we never had any problems with them. Very manageable. The heat factor is great too, it's the perfect weather!
