I know that Disney video games can be hit or miss. I'm a big Kingdom Hearts fan and like Epic Mickey (although I haven't played in awhile because I'm stuck on a level lol). I was thinking about getting Disney Universe after following its Facebook page for the past six months or so. However, the reviews on Amazon are showing that the game is aimed more towards 7 or 8 year olds and it is very easy. Anyone here have the game and can chime in?

the gameplay is very simple, but fun...we got it for my 9 year old and she has fun with it but it's not super challenging....if your use to games like KH and Epic Mickey I have a feeling that this will be way to simple for you....do you have a Redbox near you? I saw they had it available for rent in ours the other day so you could try it out for $2 before dropping the $30-40 dollars on it

I got it for my niece and we were playing it last night and it was alot of fun.
I don't really play video games much, but I did pretty good in the first level, my niece said she could tell it was going to get alot harder as you go up in levels. She really liked it, said it is better than Toy Story and definitely easier, so far, than Epic Mickey.

Hm. No Red Box that close to me. Still undecided. Anyone else have thoughts?

If you can't try it out first, I would say for sure don't pay $50 for it. I managed to get it at Target after Thanksgiving for $28. It's on Amazon right now for $29.99, that's about the right price IMHO.

ETA.....Not Disney, but I also got my niece Go Vacation! for Wii and that was really fun!!! We all played it and had a blast.

I haven't played Disney Universe, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

I wasn't really that interested to begin with, but the thing that really turned me off to Disney Universe was when I saw that the were selling additional costume packs. I don't want a game that's gonna become a money pit. :rolleyes1

I've just got this from LoveFilm (our uk equivalent of Netflix I think) so I'll be giving it a whirl later.
It does look very simple but that's mainly the reason I got it - to play co-op with DW as she is not really a gamer :)

Ok you know what, it's pretty good. Not a hardcore gamers kind of thing but a bit like Little Big Planet or the leg games. Some platforming, some button mashing combat and some puzzles. It's really quite fun :)

Played more and more of this and I've been so pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is!
It's not difficult but it does what it does nicely and I'm really enjoying it :)

I have it and enjoy it very much. Like others have said it's not difficult, but a lot of fun.

I have it and love it!! Best part is you never really die. Great game for me. My kids love playing it and that includes my biggest kid 36.

I did get the guide book, but you don't really need it unless you want to know what to do to unlock certain characters.

Much easier to play then epic Mickey. :)

So if you are looking for a fun game to play with hours of entertainment this is it. If you are a gamer and like challenge not so much. Me I am not a gamer, I like to play video games, but hate that they get so hard I can't play them.

:goodvibes Two thumbs up.
