I think that we might exceed the 25 max for Escape and it's too late to move my day from Friday because everyone has already booked plane tickets. NO WAY I can make the $15k min for Wishes on a Friday. :(

I'm only a little sad about it. I think that we'll save even more $ overall doing it at the Swan and then I think I can afford an Illuminations DP the night before!

I'm wondering what different amenities I'm losing out on, first thing that comes to mind is the annual passes...but that only gave us an excuse to come back and spend more $$$!!!

I thought it was only 18 guests for escape weddings anyway?
I don't know if there is anything that you'd be missing out on, I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the swan for weddings, I've seen some really nice swan wedding pictures, so whichever you pick I'm sure it will be lovely :goodvibes

Recently they let you add an additional 5 people for $500 making the total with Bride and Groom 25. There are a couple of family members who surprised us and are coming!

I appreciate your comments on the Swan!

Oh that's good, I didn't know that.

I'm going to the Swan for our Disneymoon in October and I'm so excited about finally staying there!

I thought I read somewhere that if you made a deposit (Escape) and decided to cancel you could use that $$ towards some other event like a Grand Gathering or a Dessert Party. I can't find info on that now, does anyone else remember seeing that or am I crazy?!?

hey missy! i did the same thing, switched from escape to a S&D wedding. i made a little comparison chart, i hope this will help!
DFTW- Pro's 4 hour limo service, bouquet and boutonniere, a violinist, 2 tiered wedding cake with Mickey and Minnie cake topper to keep, champagne toast, 2 hours of photography coverage which includes a 20 page album, a personalized wedding website, 2 annual passes
DFTW- Con's 18 people limit for escape unless you choose to upgrade, cost of reverend, additional champagne bottles are $65 a piece, and the cost of additional prints may get a little pricey. I have been told that the ceremony sites, aside from the WP are not very private. No decorations are included, there is a fee for them to set up decorations for you. 4 night room requirement in a Disney owned and operated resort.
S&D- Pro's bouquet and boutonniere, a violinist, 2 tiered wedding cake, reverend, additional champagne bottles are $25 a piece, as many guests as you would like. S&D has a reception area, you are given 2 suites to get ready in before the ceremony, they have a very private location for the ceremony, brass bridal arch decorated with fresh flowers. No room requirements.
S&D- Con's no annual passes included, no limo transportation, no photographer, no cake topper keepsake, Cinderella's carriage can not be used at this location, and MK shoot can not be done.

I guess it all depends on what you like, but these are just some of my ideas. I hope I don't upset anyone!!! I think both Disney & S&D Weddings are beautiful!!!!:flower3:
