Think we'll be cramped at CSR??

We're leaving in 2 weeks for CSR. There are 4 of us, me, DH, DS17 & DS14. I had originally booked 2 rooms at CSR because my kids cousin was going with us, he's not now, so I decided to save the $700 and just go with one room.

Now I'm getting nervous that we will be cramped in that room all week. I'm taking a twin aerobed because my DS's won't sleep together. Now I kind of wish I had either kept the 2 rooms or maybe went with a Deluxe with bigger room/balconies, etc. I hate this, I'm always second guessing myself.

I booked this trip with the 7/5 package, so I guess it is too late to change.

Do you all normally stay in one hotel room on Disney or other trips? If so I think you'll be fine. Think of what you can do with the money you saved by cancelling the other room! :) Besides with teenagers you probably won't be spending a whole bunch of time in the room anyway!

Have a great trip. :)

4 adults in one room will be a bit tight but do you plan on spending alot of time in the room?

I say keep the one room and use the money to go out and have some more fun.

My DS was just there with a school group - 2 18yr olds and 2 15 yr olds in a room. They were never there. They were at their sports event, at the parks, swimming, in the hot tub, eating at Pepper Market, going to DTD.............add in water parks and Disney Quest and you have a full week.

Great resort to just hang around - volleyball, boats, running path, etc. You won't want to be in your room !

When we stayed there in June it was me, DH, DD15 and DS16. We didn't feel cramped at all. Don't second guess yourself anymore Mercy!!!! You'll LOVE CSR!!! Please be sure and post your experience when you return!!!

You'll have two double beds. Will that be a problem?

Last year our DS12 slept on the floor (wouldn't sleep with his DSis8, can you believe it??). There is plenty of room under the window for an airbed, especially if you move the table and chair just a little. He usually fell asleep between the beds, since he'd watch TV until be passed out. There might not be not as much room there, plus you got to be careful not to step on them if you get up in the middle of the night.:p Like most everyone else said, spend more time by the pool, etc.
Have Fun!

Well, kind of... DH and me sleep in a queen at home, so the double will feel small. My DS's are adult size, so that is why we are bringing the aerobed for one of them to sleep on.

Thanks Lynn for the suggestion on where to put the aerobed... yeah, don't want to step on anyone... that could leave a mark :p

Liz, thanks for the encouragement, I'm sure it will be fine, it's just last minute jitters!

And Mario, no we probably won't be in the room that much... again, last minute jitters!

Yes, I will post a report on all my thoughts and finding about CSR when I return.

Live from CSR now!
I say you will have a blast here. How much time will you spend in the room? There are two game rooms here. A work out room. 4 pools. This place is great you see teens just hanging out and talking everywhere.
Save the money!

I would stick with one room and save the $. We are a family of 6 and have squeezed into deluxe rooms before (when our youngest was under 3yo). One bathroom was a little bit of an issue, but we learned to schedule shower times (have some of us shower in the evening and others in the morning). As to the sleeping, we are also used to a queen bed, but are so tired that we sleep fine. We bring ear plugs just in case the snoring gets out of hand.

It must be Maryland day on the boards. Where do you live? We live in Montgomery Village in Mont Co.

Hi T&B...

We live in Catonsville...outside of Baltimore. Hey, how did you get all those tags!!!

Personally I think you will be cramped if you aren't used to spending a lot of time in one room together. I'm taking my mother and two younger cousins to CSR very soon. We decided to get 2 rooms because we all want our OWN BED. We figured it would be much nicer to have some privacy at the end of the day and our own bathrooms. Plus sharing a tv with pre-teen boys would be nuts. I don't mind paying the extra because I KNOW I'm going to need a break and privacy after chaperoning all day.

I have my ways... ;) You've got to be in the right place at the right time, or for me is it the right place at the wrong time??? :teeth:
