I was ironing and laying clothes out on the kitchen table this afternoon when DD6 interupted me

DD6"I know what your doing. You're packing for Disney."

I responded with- "No I'm just doing the ironing."

DD6 - "No your not. You only iron when we go to disney."

I've told my oldest DD14 just because I was so worried and have been on the computer 24/7 checking the weather. She is excited, but upset at the thought of not going. We're still keeping it a secret from DD6 until friday when we should know if we're heading for edinburgh (with crushed clothes lol) I think she knows something is up though.

My mums always made me feel weird for not ironing, glad to know I'm not alone
The whole time I lived at home, she ironed everything, every night, before putting it away. Or else sending it to Ron the Ironing Man! When I moved out I started out doing this too but quickly realised its madness - I hang it all up creased, and iron it if needs be before i wear it!
Anyway, OT there, wandering into ironing territory, but glad to know my mums the weirdo after all!

So cute! At least you iron for Disney - I don't even own an ironing board! When I have guests who want to iron something I send them to the dining room table with a blanket.
