I found those trips frustrating. You'd go to get a new release, and they would all be gone. So you ended up renting some B rate movie and spend a good half hour deciding among a bunch of awful choices. Sometimes this was good. Sometimes not so much. Of course, there is now a Blockbuster show on Netflix to check out.

I miss roller-skating in the 80s.

Actually having conversations with people that don't involve cell phones, instant messages, or texting. People to people communcation has lost a lot with this generation

Roller rinks and arcades. And hanging out at the mall. News just broke last week that the mall where I spent most of my high school free time, at the arcade of course, is going to be torn down and replaced with a whole city-like mixed-use development, and I can't help feeling like the loss of hang out spaces and the crack down on kids actually being in them is a big part of why it died.

As a kid being able to leave the house and wander about all day as long as I was back for dinner. This has become illegal in some areas.

Im thinking just about everything. We have to run out of oil in 100 to 150 years.
I cant see how we recoup from that. Some many things are made from petroleum, even if we find alternate sourse for fuel I can't see how we will make all the other producrts. Once we can't everything falls apart.

Going to brick and mortar stand alone toy stores like FAO or Toys R US.
Playing baseball in a parking lot with a group of other random kids, no helmets no bases no adults.
Reading a physical newspaper with a sports page, comics, and entertainment guide.
Seeing an orca show (I know now how awful it is for those animals, only saying I really enjoyed it and future generations will not). Same goes for riding an elephant.
Enjoying music in the car with a group of friends.

Oh and the mystery of pre-internet courtship, i.e. meeting a love interest and getting to know each other by conversing (as opposed to reviewing their online footprint).
