Things you haven't done before?

This is also our 8th Holiday to Florida and is going to be full of firsts!

First time flying anywhere from Heathrow! :rolleyes1

First time flying to Orlando through Chicago. :)

First time we're staying onsite - at the Beach Club. :dance3:

First time arriving at a disney park without having to pay for parking! :rotfl2:

First time we'll have had Disney Dining Plan - let alone for free! So we'll be dining at loads of restaurants for the very first time (Be Our Guest, Ohana, Cape May Cafe, Sci-fi Dine In, Akershus Royal Banquet, Boma and Coral Reef) :thumbsup2

First time for Photopass plus (normally only have the normal photopass). :cutie:

First visit to Discovery Cove and swim with a dolphin. :woohoo:

First time for Extra Magic Hours.

First visit to the new Fantasyland. :hyper:

I'm sure they'll be loads more - thats all I can think of for now. So Excited :cloud9:

disbabe, your holiday of 1st's sounds fab so far :goodvibes

I have been looking at new restaurants (new to us) and discovered the dine in cinema at DD - that sounds fun so we may give that a try :thumbsup2

We're definitely going to do a tour. we have only done kttw before and i'd like to try another.

I like to do a tour of the MK resorts (particularly when the Xmas decs are up) - catch monorail to Poly, walk to GF, catch boat to MK, boat to WL and boat back to BLT eating and drinking (soda) along the way.

In November I'll be trying Sorcerers of the MK for the first time as I don't get a chance to do it on our last holiday.

ooh this is a good one. We have considered this at DTD before but never done it. This might be a good time as we have 6 days at BLT :goodvibes

you might want to look at hiring one of the bigger boats on that lake, we rented the water mice one time and i felt sooo unsafe due to the waves on the lake from the other boats. rented a pontoon boat last time and had a much nicer time :)

hmm, good idea! I've not got great sea legs!

myself and DS played a game to see how many different modes of tranport we could use in one day
think we done 13

what about a game of golf , hire bikes and cycle around fortwildnerness

or take a day away to the beach only about a hour and a half drive

or just chill out at the resort pool , something we forget to do

Do you know if the walk from Poly to GF and the boat are wheelchair accessible (no steps etc) we would love to do ths on our next trip.

You could try and see how many of the resorts you could do in a day?
Guest relations at the resorts have quizzes to do at most if not all of them as well.
Learn a new phrase from cast members at each of the pavilions in Epcot

well as usual, my first are food based, inc a beer cupcake and the new non alcholic sangria!!

we are also going to dine at brown derby which is new..

non food, want to do the behind the scenes tour at ak, dh did the steam train tour last time and said it was awesome...

unfortuntely this will also be my first trip in a wheelchair following my car accident, and diagnosis of fibromyalgia, so i guess alot more smelling the roses will occur...

oh and we are staying at a new resort okw this time!!

The walk is - it's all on the flat and the pathway is nice and wide. Unless the wheelchair user can transfer and the wheelchair can be folded, I don't think the boats would be suitable and they unfortunately cannot take ECVs. You could always take the monorail instead of the boat from GF and use the bus from MK to WL and back (which as you probably know can accommodate both wheelchairs and ECVs).

Touring those resorts is a lovely relaxing way to spend an afternoon :)

Thank you so much, every time we go we plan to visit some of the hotels and the only one we have managed so far is The Yacht and Beach Club. This will be our 8th trip so hopefully we may see some more resorts :rolleyes2 Our son is able to walk short distances and his wheelchair is very compact so we should be able to use the boat hopefully.

our first thoughts are always food/drink based too :thumbsup2

I am considering the AK tour too. I was torn between that one and the KTTW the last time.
We have eaten at the Brown Derby twice before and it was really nice both times :goodvibes

For our 5th visit in May, will be trying to stop doing what we always do and get out of that rut!

Going to stay at MK and actually watch Wishes as never done a late park in 4 previous visits! Will similarly stay for Illuminations in Epcot.

Also do some more of the shows and not just the rides. Also eat at a few different locations around the world.

Have annual passes for both Disney and Universal as was there Christmas too.

How far is the walk from Epcot to HS? - did the Boardwalk last trip.

Will do a lot more dining places instead of the usual. Hmm Beaches and Cream lol

We are doing lots of first this time including staying on site but I am going to do the Back Stage Magic tour and CANNOT wait!!!

Loving the sound of the Kid cot will research this now. My children quite like geocaching so may try and do the hidden mickeys with them too x
