If you kids still use sippy cups or bottles, I'd recommend bringing along a tupperware-type bowl to use as a "sink" within a sink in the hotel room. I then use the Dawn dishwashing pads and bottle brushes to keep everything clean (hot water from the coffee makers...)

I always bring a stack of 3 oz. paper bathroom cups - Disney designs, of course!!

Thanks for the posts..what great ideas!! ? about the blankets again..i remember as kids my mom would never let us use hotel blankets, but alwasy thought that was her own phobia.. They do have to wash the sheets though btwn visits right??? And if the comforter/blankets aren't washed aren't the germs or lice or whatever the person had last visit climbing all over the sheets now that the bed was made up with dirty comforter and blanket on top of hopefully clean sheets?? I am tempted to bring a whole set from home now..but scared to see what the matteresses would look like underneath....

I wasn't a crazed germ person..but this is gross!!

I am always sure to pack some swimmers drops...my daughters ears seem to hold the water and if we don't use them, they can get pretty painful.

Another thing I never leave home without is Dramamine! Just walking around the parks with all the "motion" going on can make me dizzy ok, well dizzier... . Anyway, I take one in the morning and can handle the parks (and all the rides ) all day long! .

I read these boards for months before our May trip, and because of that I didn't feel like we forgot anything. The things we took that I'm glad we had were: Cheap rainponchos, Our first night at magic kingdom it rained, so we put on our ponchos and went anyways. We had the whole park to ourselves, it was so cool !! All big rides were walk ons, we had the best time !!
And, a TOASTER !! I bought a toaster at Wal-mart for $6.97 before we left. We had breakfast in our rooms at POFQ every morning with toasted bagels and toast with cereal or oatmeal. Saved us lots of time and money. And, when we left, I left the toaster behind. My hubby thought the hanging shoe holder was a fanstastic idea, it really cleared up the sink area. These boards are great, thanks everyone !!!

Many people do bring toasters, but they are not supposed to be in the room due to fire hazard. There is a big post about toasters somewhere around here.

My top 5 things not to forget...

1. extra film or memory card for camera (I takeo n average 20 rolls of film in 4-5 days)

2. Shop the trial size meds area at Wal-Mart or Target. Pepto-bismal, tylenol, advil, etc.

3. Zip-lock baggies sandwich and quart size. They come in so handy! wet bathing suits for trip home, first aid supplies for purse, wet wipes, etc.

4. PURELL or other waterless hand sanitizer. This really helps control the germ spread. If your kids are anything like mine, they can't help but touch the bars in the lines for rides. Everyone touches them and there are tons of germs.

5. If you are going in hot weather, invest in a trial size unscented spray deodorant. You never know when someone might get stinky. This way you or dh can use it.

I can speak from experience here I worked in a hotel they only wash the linens every time, blankets and bedspreads are washed once in a blue moon. I would reccomend NEVER sitting on the bedspread with no clothes on And I always rip them off and throw them in a corner, ask for extra sheets. You don't want to know the things we have found in the rooms, and I am sure you don't want to know what could be on the Bedspreads. Don't mean to sick anyone out but these are the facts.

A pair of nail clippers for your purse or carry-on if you are flying. TSA puts zip-ties of checked luggage and there is nothing worse than needing something out of your suitcase right away and having to hunt down a pair of scissors to cut the stupid tie off so you can get in your bag!

I think that you can't take clippers on the plane due to safty regulations, not 100% sure. Junp on the website of the airline you are taking to see the list of items not allowed. I know I got my lighters confiscated last time I flew.

A plastic pitcher for making ice tea in our room -- Can you tell we're from the south. We were in serious tea withdrawal by the end of our last visit.

I meant to take one of those collapsible net storage containers for dirty clothes but forgot. As a result, we ended up just piling all our dirty laundry in the closet. With 3 kids and hot weather, there was a bunch!!

More pool toys for the kids.

Just wanted to subscribe to this thread. Took me forever to get throught it because I kept having to cut and paste into my running WDW word doc.

I'm using Excel and I have a worksheet (page) set up for each park, general, resort, and packing list. When I see anything on the Dis that I want to remember I just copy and paste it to the worksheet to which it applies. I can just click from one page to the next. Wait 'til my DisneyFREAK DH sees what I've got put together! He thinks he's the planner!

I am officially FREAKED OUT about the blanket/comforter thing! I knew better then to use the comforter, but the blanket was news to me! I have definitely added a quilt to our packing list....yikes!

Just an addition to those traveling during the colder months - we used HAND WARMERS like crazy when in the parks in the evening times. We just put them in our pockets and they were a huge relief. I got a pack of 2 for .99 at Big Lots and found family members were fighting over them during our late February/ Early March trip.

Okay there is ONE thing that I wish I'd brought, but didn't: TOILET PAPER for the hotel room! All of the WDW Resort TP is thin shreddy stuff that leaves little bits of TP hanging on you -gross, but true! Next time I'm including a package of decent TP in our wegoshop.com order! I also wish I'd gotten some of the swim shoes that you can wear right into the water. I burned my feet running DD to the potty!

Glad I brought: the stroller clip on fan (w/extra batteries), good sandals and shoes, lots of ziplocs in various sizes.
