What are other things to see and do outside of the theme parks?? Any location in FL is fine.

Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg 30 minutes south of clearwater

We have always enjoyed going to Old Town in Kissimmee, especially on Saturday night for the Saturday Night cruise. Mind you, I enjoy old cars and the oldies for music. This is free.

Yes, Old town is open every day for shopping, the Old carcruises are on Saturday night, and I understand muscle cars cruise on Friday night.

In the winter months, go see the Manatees at Blue Spring State Park. Take the St John's River nature cruise that departs from the park as well - fascinating and informative. Still one of our favorite things in the Orlando area, and relatively inexpensive.

Florida is a big state. If you make it to South Florida, I recommend the Everglades and Billie Swamp Safari, the FL Keys and John Pennekamp State park, Sawgrass Mills if you enjoy shopping (there's a Disney parks outlet there and an awesome Lego Store along with every major chain and designer name you can imagine), and Morikami Gardens in Delray Beach.
