My wife and daughter have reservations for the 9 am tea party. I'll most likely be dropping them off and going back to get them. My 19 month old son will be with me. What are some things to do around there to pass the time? Open to suggestions.

When I went to the tea party with my Daughter, my Husband & son took the monorail over to the contemporary hotel & played in the arcade. I'm not sure if that is still there, but you could still go over to the contemporary & go to Chef Mickeys for breakfast (need a reservation) or take the monorail to the Polynesian and get breakfast at the Kona cafe.
If you want to stay on site at the GF,
The lobby is beautiful and there are couches you could sit on and relax. There is a quick service place called Gasparilla's you could get breakfast or a snack & sit outside overlooking the marina & Cinderella's castle in the distance.
Or you could ride the monorail loop just to take the ride (goes around to Polynesian, magic kingdom, contemporary & back to GF).

For a 19 month old GF is pretty boring. Ride the monorail loop a couple of times and then stop at the Contemp. Play in the arcade and show him the monorails as they pass thru the hotel. You can easily spend 2 hours just doing this and its fun.

If you are looking for an arcade, there is one right by Gasparilla's at the GF. No need to go to the contemporary for an arcade. The grounds of the GF are lovely. Your son can play on the beach, or just enjoy walking around; maybe even take a walk to the Polynesian. There are shops to browse on the 2nd floor of the GF. I think a 19 month old can be entertained on the GF property. Riding the monorail is of course an option but my son never got much entertainment out of that and it does involve going thru bag check, stops at other resorts, packed train cars, etc. Every child is different of course, but my 2 yr old son would often say he wanted to get out after being on the monorail on a short time. I'd take your DS to Gasparilla's for a Mickey waffle, then hit the arcade next door and when finished, just explore the grounds of the GF.

I would take the monorail to CR and then take a boat to Ft. W. There is a playground right by the boat dock and the Tri-Circle D Ranch is right there as well - all of the WDW horses and ponies live there! They even have pony rides for smaller children.

I would take the boat ride from GF to Poly to MK back to GF. This is my favorite boat ride in WDW. Then I would take the monorail from GF to Poly. Walk around Poly then walk back to the GF.

To this day, this is one of my DS's fondest memories. At the contemporary arcade, they played games together to earn tickets & used them to get a small green bear that he named the contemporary bear. That combined with the monorail ride was an adventure to him at 3 years old.
