hi this is the first thread i have made so any help would be great.
we are going to disney feb5-12 :yay: and need something to do on the way to disneyland from LAX since we get into town way before hotel will let us check in.
so any ideas as something we can do will have one 3 1/2 year old, one infant and 4 adults.

Most hotels will hold you luggage for you so you can start having fun right away (Disney hotels will definetely do this).

Just head on over to the hotel. Your room may not be ready, but they'll let you pre-register, get all your info, give you a parking pass if needed and hold your luggage. Even if you weren't planning on going in the park that day, you could at least head over to Downtown Disney and window shop or explore the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian.

There's not really much to see and do on the route from LAX to Disney. But if you wanted to take a detour you could head over to Hollywood. Or check out the Disney Character Warehouse in Fullerton. It's got Disney merchandise at outlet prices.

We always go to the hotel and try and check in. We usually arrive around 12:00pm on a Saturday. Once the room was not ready and they held our luggage and the other time the room was ready. Both times we were very happy at the end of a long day and we didn't miss out on any time at the parks.

I would also like to know what there is to do around there. Also, is there a grocery store on the way? I would like to get bottled water and snacks to keep in our hotel room. Thanks

Depending how early it is, you could swing over to Hollywood & Highland and go to the Disney Soda Fountain, next to the El Capitan Theatre. An ice cream is a good way to start a trip! You can also shop at the Hollywood & Highland complex and check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame. You can see the Hollywood Sign from there, too.

Or, you could stop off in Long Beach and see the Queen Mary.

Or, you could stop off at Knott's for breakfast/lunch at Mrs. Knott's Chicken.

Or, go to Downtown Disney for breakfast/lunch and shopping

Excellent suggestions! :thumbsup2

However, I bet once you get to DL you'll want the hotel to hold your bags 'cause you'll be itchin' to get into those parks!

Have a great time!
