Hi! Planning a trip with my 2 1/2 girl and 1 1/2 boy - what rides or attractions will they be able to do and see? Any extra recreation at the resorts that they would like? Which park do you think is the best for those ages? Any advice and help is much appriciated!!

They can do anything that doesn't have a height restriction. I think you can check all of the height restrictions on disney's website.

Magic Kindom is by far the best park for them. There are a ton of rides they can go on and shows and the parade. They can meet the characters (provided they aren't afraid of them) in toon town. With our little ones we usually spend at least two full days in MK, sometimes we even spend three days there.

As far as the other parks, different people prefer different parks. We only spend a half day at MGM or sometimes skip it completely. My kids like seeing the animals at Animal Kingdom and enjoy the safari ride. We spend one or two days at Epcot and our kids like it there too although their aren't a lot of rides.

Spend some time researching the attractions at each park and start out slow. Don't start with rides that are particularly dark or loud because you don't want to scare them for the rest of the trip. Small World is usually a safe first ride. Also, familiarize them with the characters before you go. Watch the planning video and get the Disneyland sing-a-long video if you don't already have it.

I highly recommend the Disneyland sing along video. I just bought it last week for my 2 y/o twins and they LOVE it. We're going to WDW next week, so I bought it to familiarize them with what the characters will look like and what Main Street will look like. There's also footage of the carousel, It's a Small World, tea cups, etc... Just be prepared to watch it EVERY SINGLE DAY, sometimes twice! :)

Twice? My 3 year old daughter was on her second round of watching the video when the babysitter arrived to watch her while I went to an evening meeting. When I returned 2 hours later...it was still on. She was singing away and the babysitter was "Disneyfied"!
