We are going to try to fit in downtown disney for our next trip. Never been there so can anyone tell me some interesting things to do with the kiddos there? They are 3 and 9. Any good places to eat or must try snack items?

Wolfgang Puck Express is my favorite counter service in all of WDW. Splittsville for bowling. House of Blues has a good Happy Hour.

We love T-Rex and make it a point to eat there every meal. They also have a Build a Dino in there that makes for a nice souvenier. My oldest daughter (who is now almost 9) is really into dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. If any of your kids is into that as well, you can't go wrong :)

Downtown Disney is AMAZING!! I don't have any little ones, but I can for sure tell you that its has A LOT to offer! We LOVE LOVE LOVE Earl Of Sandwich! Its a great price too. There is Ghirardelli ice cream shop, lol you cant miss it... it smells amazing! Also there is World Of Disney. Have fun :) I also think there is a play section for the kiddos to get wet? I think... not quite sure. Either way its so much fun :)

The lego store is great for kids. There are tables they can play with tons of legos. Goofy's Candy Store is my favorite place in Downtown Disney. Ok maybe fave place ever..LOL I made my own Gingerbread Man there and so delicious!!

I wouldn't recommend Disney Quest for your 3 year old. There isn't much for them to do there. If you have extra fun options go for it but if you need to purchase tickets I say have one adult take the 9 year old and the other hang out elsewhere.

My kids DS9, DD6, DS5 love eating at T-REX. It is pretty loud, but the food is good, and the atmosphere is incredible!

Also, stop at Goofy's Candy Co. and make your own treat, visit the Lego Store and World of Disney. We ended our time at DTD with a boat ride to one of the resorts - took some time because we had to then catch a bus to a park and another back to our resort, but it was relaxing and the kids enjoyed it. Plus we got to check out another resort.

Bowling at Splitsvillle is fun! They offer bumper bowling and bowling ball stands for younger children.

Your 3yo might like the little carousel and train ride over in the Marketplace area. Pick a pearl, although I like the one in Japan at Epcot. Christmas store, trendy stores, crazy-huge World of Disney Store (daytime is less crowded, evenings are just crazy packed wall to wall people). There's a play fountain for kids to splash in--love watching kiddos get all wet running through it. Once Upon a Toy store, Lego store. Agree with other posters--Earl of Sandwich (they have a AAA discount), or Wolfgang Puck Express.
