We are staying in a 2b villa at SSR this summer. This is the first DVC stay. Have previously staying in villas as a regular reservation and had daily housekeeping

Here are my questions - we do not have an owner's locker
We will have a car and will be stopping at Walmart or Publix, we are staying 7nts

We plan on purchasing some snacks, breakfast items and water for the room. Definitely coffee and filters, we don't plan on doing any real cooking other than breakfast. Also laundry detergent and dryer sheets.

I would think we need salt and pepper but are there small individual packets available at the food court? I know they have ketchup packets if needed. This may be easier then purchasing salt and pepper containers and then throwing them out at the end of our stay

Towels - how many are in the room
dishwashing and dishwasher liquid - enough to last until the 4th day towel and linen service and will they replace them?
We will bring our own shampoo / conditioner as the small bottles are only good for two uses. We will have five people

We used to use the Purex 3 in 1 sheets but cannot find them anywhere lately and looking on Purex's website it says they are discontinued, does anyone know of something similar?

Anything else I am forgetting?

Thank you

A two bedroom villa at SSR will have enough towels for 8 guests (the occupancy of the villa).

You will get another full compliment of towels on day 4 as well as new soaps and shampoos. We always bring our own shampoo, but love the soap in the villas.

No need to worry about dishwasher soap or paper towels etc, since those will be provided.

We usually get those little picnic pack of of salt and pepper shakers. We keep those in our owner's locker, but before we had owner's locker, we just stuck them in a zip lock back and put them in our luggage. We did the same with mouthwash and toothpaste etc for the villa. LOVE having an owner's locker so we don't have to think about those things each trip! Also, be sure you get a supply of sugar if you are planning to have cereal etc.

Looks like you have things covered.

We bring our own filters and coffee. We have a case that we keep stuff like that in so we have our own salt/pepper, etc.

We also travel with a small cooler so we pick up small bottles of catsup, mayo, mustard, butter, jelly, etc. Unused stuff makes it home fine.

Maybe it's just me but the only thing I discovered I needed from home was a rubber spatula. We like scrambled eggs and when I went to scrape the bowl there wasn't one.

S&P - you can get at any food court. However, if you're cooking with it, it gets to be a hassle trying to open those small packets.

Towels - 2bd have an occupancy of 8 or 9. I would think there'd be at least 8 sets of towels. I've never stayed at SSR, but the BWV/BCV have 4 sets in the second bedroom, 2 sets in the master shower and 2 or 3 sets in the master tub.

Dishwashing - you get 2 small liquid soaps, and 2 or 3 packets of dishwasher soap. We don't always do a full load so I usually use half a packet. If you see housekeeping out in the hallway, you can always ask for additional and tip them.

For breakfast we usually put PB&J on toast. I don't want to have to do any clean up. The only other thing I purchase is disposable coffe cups (like the kind you get at Starbucks). We make a pot in the morning and relax a bit and have a cup. Then, we refil our cups and take them with us out the door.

A two bedroom villa will have eight bath towels, four hand towels and eight face cloths. You will get a single use box of Tide or All every service day. So if you plan on washing your towels (as well as your other stuff), you'll want to bring your own. They don't provide any dryer sheets or fabric softener. I think all the 3in1 sheets have been discontinued because they left spots on the clothing.

You'll have a small bottle of liquid dishwashing detergent and a couple of packets of dishwasher detergent. You can request more if you need them.

You won't need trash bags (they are in the bottom of the trash can if you need more) and you can take your trash to the trash room if the can fills up before your service day.

You'll get a single, maybe two, coffee pouches for a small pot of coffee (maybe four cups). If you like more coffee, bring your own and bring coffee filters (flat bottom, basket type like Mr Coffee). You'll want to bring creamer, sugar, sweetener for the coffee.

Each bathing locations will have a single bottle of shampoo, one conditioner, one shower gel. And each sink will have a bar of soap. So that should be three of each. One shower, one jetted tub, one tub/shower combo.
