things that made me mad

a guy in rapid city touched 2 girls in a ymca pool ages 10 and 9 and got only five years probation..

a 17 or 18 year old in sioux falls did things with a maniquin and will probably get a longer sentance..

the 18 year old in pennsyviannia that killed is girl friends parents isnt being charged with kidnapping because she went of her own will... but he is an adult that took a child across state lines..

the teacher in florida that had a relationship with a 14 no jail time.

then another teacher that did the same thing with a 16 and 17 got six months and the judge blamed the 16 and 17 boys..

what make me really mad is that 16 and 17 year olds are adults in some cases and children in other cases..what i mean is if they killed some one people want them charged like adults and if they have a reationship with an adult charge them like a kid .. this country cannot have it both ways either they are an adult or they are a child..

i had to get that off my chest ..

I disagree. There isn't a single point-in-time at which time a person magically is transformed from a child to a fully-functional adult. Rather, people gradually grow from childhood into adulthood. The law must be flexible enough to account for the fact that these things aren't really black-and-white. It is reasonable to expect that the more grave the crime (murder, for example), the earlier in life that the full weight of accountability for that crime should be placed on a person.
