Things overheard at DL yesterday

♪♫While strolling through the park yesterday... I overheard various people say♫♪...

Woman1: What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever said on a job interview?
Woman2: I’ll take the job.

Mother: Why don’t you grow up?
Daughter: Because I’ve seen what it’s done to you.

Guy1 - Do you have a lot of credit card debt?
Guy2 - Not as much as I'm going to.

Dude1: (off a T-shirt): That’s about thirty Euros.
Dude2: Yeah, but how much is it in currency that matters?

Father (to his family): Do you want to go to the haunted house?
(This one always irks me).

I love this kind of stuff.

On one of our trips one of the CMs on the train started talking in Spanish to a family of obvious Hispanic heritage and the dad goes "Huh?!" because he didn't even speak Spanish, lol. The CM was like, "oh, I'm sorry, I thought I heard you speaking Spanish!", lol. It was really awkward and hilarious.

On our first trip, this "bro"-type dude did the most hilarious scream on BTMRR as we were walking the pathway back behind it (the one that's closed right now) and no one else was making a sound on the ride at the time. He looked straight at us and did the most hilarious, silly scream. We laughed our butts off and still talk about that guy to this day.

I got stuck on Pirates once (in the jail scene) and the people in front of me were talking about how it was built after the first movie came out (not updated, she literally thought the ride DIDN'T EXIST before 2003) and I couldn't help myself and corrected her.

I've also corrected people who thought you have to pay extra for FPs, because that's just mean to let them live in ignorance and wait in 2 hour lines for no reason.

That reminds me....we got stuck on pirates once and the people in front of us (ages ranged from early 20's to 40's) all thought the pirates were played by real people. There was quite a back and forth discussion amongst them about if they were real or not, in the end they decided they were real people. Hubby and I just chuckled and let them believe it.

As we passed by the robot at the console that makes jokes about security and animals and stuff (in front of the large screen right before you get the glasses) I heard this:
Dad: His dialogue is live
Daughter: Really?
Dad: Yep. There's someone hiding in a room off somewhere with a TV and a microphone saying all that.
