Everyone join in on this!! :lmao: Please post things my family must see, do, ride or buy at Disney..

I Know we need:

1. Autograph book and pen
2. Epcot passport

Come on, give me a BIG list! LOL

I'll go for the obvious to get them out of the way:

- sunblock
- comfortable sneakers and socks
- rain poncho(s)
- backpack/fanny pack for each person
- bottled water

Yeah!! And stocked diaper bag too. ;)

Where can I get a fanny pack at? I haven't seen those in ages?

I ordered each of us one from www.beltoutlet.com

The $4.95 kids ones are small... ideal for my girls, but I may get my son a larger one. We'll see. But the service was good, as were the prices.

Splash Mountain!! We rode it 5 times while we were there.

Just a quick note that can save you a little money. You can use your autograph books as passport books as well. The CMs in the different countries were happy to sign and stamp our autograph books.

I also recommend looking into pin trading for your children. We just returned from Disney a week ago, and I think pin trading was one of the highlights of the trip for them. My 11 and 8 year olds were always on a mission to find certain pins. I was amazed to see how much they enjoyed trading the pins, and the CMs were always so kind and patient. :thumbsup2 My 6 year old was more shy but he still enjoyed it.

I also recommend Pal Mickey. He is expensive ($62.00) but my kids loved him. He journeyed the whole magical world with us. The kids loved hearing what he had to say.

My best advice is to join tourguidemike.com and learn how to avoid the crowds and not wait in line. It is so worth the fee to join. I am on my second membership and ssecond TGM trip. He's awesome and the forums over there are really helpful.

Allow more than 1 day at Magic Kingdom. Don't miss splash mountain, spectro or wishes. Do at least 1 character meal.
Nemo show and Festival of the Lion King at AK
Muppets, playhouse disney, Beauty and the Beast at MGM
Turtle talk with crush at Epcot

If you have the funds, a maclarren stroller holds kids up to 55 pounds and is good to give the kids a break. also comes with a rain cover... very important

Lots of ziplock bags to keep things dry when it rains.

Extra shoes in case your shoes get wet.

Have:

--my PassPorter
--park maps (more than one)
--a carmel apple from the Candy Caldron (in MGM)

See:
--the castle from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority
--Finding Nemo: The Musical
--Muppet Vison: 3D

Do:

-- Trade pins
--Ride in the front of the monorail
--Get my butt kicked on Buzz Lightyear

I second riding in the front of the monorail! Do it on the MK/Epcot route for a much longer ride!

These aren't really MUST do's, but my kids had a ton of fun baking cookies in the Land building at Epcot. They got paper chef hats and free cookies. Another fun thing at Epcot was Fantastic Plastics at Innoventions. You first design a computer robot and race against ~15 other people and then get to build and take home a FREE plastic robot. The kids loved posing our robots in the resort room window and by the end of the week all our neighbors had them in their windows too.

DS found a paintbrush at Tom Sawyer Island and we got a certificate for our entire family to "go to the front of the line" at Big Thunder Mtn RR.

I wasn't overly thrilled with my son's (age 5) haircut at the MK barbershop, but DD7 loved getting sparkles and confetti in her hair and it was only a few bucks.

Wow, where should I start!! These are some of the things that worked great for us, me, DH, DD6 and DD4, and some of the things that we really loved

Take a stroller, get a photo pass card the first day

Food
-turkey leg (YUM)
-Dole Whip
-try to eat at Peso Bills (I think taht's what it's called) grab a seat on the curb and have someone run in to order and watch Jessie and Woody give a little show, I'm not exactly sure what it's called but check the times guide for it.
-take in LOTS of water, Crystal Lite packets, and snacks for you and the kids in order to save $$

-Rockin Roller Coaster, height restriction of 48"

-eat at Rain Forest Cafe , not a show but might as well be!
-CMs bring out some of the animals and talk to the kids, and adults, we saw a bunch of different spiders and other bugs and birds

We didn't get the AK passport, I didn't see anyone with them either.

Rides Epcot
-Test Track, you can scan your photopass card instead of buying the photo
-Soarin'
-Mission Space

Do the masks and Pass Ports if you can, and stop by the information center and pick up buttons for the kids, you can also pin trade there, at all the parks, and they had the neatest pins that we saw

Fronteir land where they also put on their show throughout the day

Get the pic bythe Haunted Mansion ride where the Carriage is, they superimpose something into the photo, Tink photo, Stich on the bench photo.
Whew this list was really long! Have lots of fun and take lots of pics! See everything you can, the one thing that I wish we had done, but with young kids I didn't want to bother dragging them with me, I wish we could have spent more time on Main Street, MK, just seeing it all!

I can't believe I forgot caramel apples. We prefer the ones at the Confectionary at MK. We get one on the way out after wishes... actually, now we stop at the ice cream place and get a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich for dh and then I get a caramel apple to share with dd, and we wait for the crowds to die down while we eat them. It is the most buttery caramel I have ever tasted!

Take pennies and quarters with you for the pressed penny machines. They fit nicely in the mini M & M containers and you can layer them 2 quarters, 1 penny. The machines are everywhere. You can get a map in the park at Guest Services as to where all the machines are. You can also get a penny holder. It's a great souvenir and they're fun to collect.

Thanks yall!!!! I totally forgot about the pressed pennies and quarters!! I will do that for sure!! I LOVE those machines!!

Keep those tips coming!! :hippie:

A few of our favorite things:

DD always gets popcornpopcorn:: in a souvvie bucket at Magic Kingdom
DS collects Mickey's from favorite rides. A few we have are Space Mickey and Pluto from Mission Space, Pirate Mickey pirate: from POTC, Jedi Mickey :darth: from Star Tours.
Mickey bars!!:mickeybar
Hoop Dee Do review
Dinner at Ohana
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain
Expedition Everest
Soarin'
Terror of Terror
Rockn rollercoaster

We do our shopping at Downtown Disney...we take a down day away from the parks! I really recommend this especially in the summer. Take time to enjoy your resort.

I need ten minutes everyday to sit quietly and people watch!! I LOVE to people watch!!
Don't forget a hug from Mickey!!!!

With the pennies and quarters make sure that you use nice shinny pennies. They seem to turn out better and you can see the image better. Purchase your photo pass before you go. I hear it is cheaper. Enjoy your trip!

Take a moment and watch your kids! I love to watch my Ds's interact with a CM or a character (and don't tell them to pose or rush them). Also, I have missed many moments i at shows, rides or parades because I am to busy watching them taking it all in. It is wonderful to just watch them and see where the magic takes them. (Don't get me wrong I am just as excited to be experiencing that same magic!! LOL)
