they've got fridge swaps, what about a stroller swap

We rent the ones at Disney. I agree with PP's about bringing a towel or something for the many uses it could have: under the bum, pillow, etc. DD was four on our last trip, and we rented, and we will be renting this upcomming Oct for our trip, DD will be 5 then (She weighs 45 pounds now, so I am guessing just under 50 lbs by that time). Although a stroller swap does sound interesting, and definatly something to think about if enough people are on board with it.....

I'm just concerned about the trek to the park entrance from the buses as well as tothe buses to the hotel room to the hotel lobby (and the reserve as well). My strategy will be to monitor the consignment stores until late March; if nothing local pops up as a resale, then I'll order on line so I can have it in time for 4/29 arrival and keep it until 5/6 departure.

right now doesn't appear to be enough interest to fill in the slots for passing a stroller forward.

I hear you with the walk to the busses/rooms etc! Those walks seem to get much longer at night!! LOL I think I may keep my eye open too at consignment stores as well, it can never hurt!!

I'm going to start watching the consignment stores too. I've got more time than some of you others, so maybe I'll luck out. In the meantime, if anyone's arriving Nov 22 and wants our Graco, let me know.

We also loved the Disney rental strollers. I would rent the double one for my son so that he could spread out and we could put the small cooler in it too. He was still using one at age 9 at 5 feet tall :lmao: because of problems with his right leg that caused it to tucker out very quickly.

I just wanted to add that I did go out and buy a new, but older model, Maclaren Triumph for my 6 year old, 45 pounder. I have a 4 year old who will have a stroller, and I know my 6 year old will be jealous that the 4 year old gets to sit, so I had to do something for her. I LOVE the Mac. I wanted the Volo at first, but I found the Triumph at a discounted price so I picked that up. It folds up so compact like those cheap-o umbrella strollers, but it has a nifty carrying handle that you can sling onto your shoulder. I love it more than my peg Aria, and I am so tempted to buy another Mac so we can transport the two strollers easliy at the park. If I do see the Volo on sale I will probably buy it...it holds its value well I believe, so I can sell it if I have to when we get back.
