It's going to drive me nuts before Christmas gets here.

I LOVE Christmas music!!!!! But I don't start playing it at work until after Thanksgiving. It gives me something to look forward too, but I don't have time to get sick of it before Christmas comes.

I remember working at a certain high end retailer that employed a piano player. The music was wonderful, but by Christmas Eve we were done with The Holly and the Ivy already. :rotfl:

They're playing Christmas music on the radio stations around here.

Not to mention that one of our cities has all the light-up poinsettas on their telephone polls. And they're lighting them.

Sorry, but no sympathies from me! :teeth:
I love Christmas (music, movies, decorations...everything!) and think that less than one month is not enough for me to enjoy everything. I always start our celebrating early! But our stations aren't playing the music yet, I wish they would. I was just thinking the other day, "I need to get my christmas music out to listen to in the car!"

I love Christmas and Christmas music, but wish that stores, radio stations, etc. would not start playing it so early. I think the day after Thanksgiving is great, but I expect that the "holiday station" I listen to will start the weekend before Thanksgiving.

I hate the way they stop playing it on Christmas--I love to listen to Christmas music the day after--but they've ususally moved onto something else by then.

They are playing it here as well! I would agree with you at work allday would drive me nuts as well! I can see a song here and there! :goodvibes

I must need to get a life! I was excited to see the first Christmas commercial.

There is a radio station here in Detroit that went to 100% Christmas music on November 1st. Now, I LOVE Christmas music - probably more than the average person, but I had to change the station because I don't want to be sick of it by the time Christmas comes. I want to look forward to it and enjoy it. If I start listening on my radio at work (more than 8 hours a day), it will just be too much. After Thanksgiving, I will change the station to the Christmas music.

When I used to do my thorough Christmas cleaning (from floor to ceiling) I would start on Nov. 1st - and playing my Christmas music was what kept me motivated.. :) Maybe I'll put some on today.. :flower:

Where I work they start playing Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving.

Yep, heard it at Walmart the other day. It was the only good thing about being in that store!!

We don't have music played at work at all!

I love Christmas and Christmas music. It puts me in such a good mood. It seems like that is the only time of the year when most people are kind and smiling. Sure wish it was all year round.

Blech, too early. I was at the mall last night and creeped out by all the Christams stuff. Heck, they wanted to set up the Christmas tree here at work this week, and I put a stop to that.

The way Christmas is forced on the consumer so early makes me totally uninterested by the time Christmas does get here! By December 25th I'm ready for bathing suits and spring time!

Our neighbor had their Christmas Tree up and lite 11/1.

I agree it's way too early, we don't do anything Christmas before Thanksgiving.

I posted a thread exactly like this a week before Halloween. They were playing Christmas music at Bath & Body Works in mid-October!

I love Christmas music, but that's rediculous!

I know which one you are talking about!! lol Now there are two stations here like that.

Also, have you noticed that that one stations Christmas music line up consists mostly of the Carpenters Christmas songs and EVERYBODIES freekin' version of Sleigh Ride? ;)

I love Christmas. I love christmas music..the decorations, the food, baking, family, traditions..but darnit all.. it starts to lose the real meaning when it is commercialized so much and forced down our throats before we even put away the Halloween decorations.
