We have been fortunate (and/or foolish) enough to go to WDW twice this year since all this happened. Everyone did great, no one got sick, we always wore the mask (and yes, it hurts to do this in August).

First trip we saw a blogger and went over and said hi. Second trip we saw 3 bloggers and said hi to all of them. My sister went on a trip a few weeks back and saw a blogger. Now, I know they're everywhere on my Youtube but they also seem to be all over the parks.

Just curious what folks think, did you even go to WDW if you didn't see a blogger? Should we collect them (like the way folks collect Disney stays in their signature)?

I'm half serious, half curious, half annoyed, and half enjoying all these bloggers.

Lemme know what you think.

P.S. I have seen Pete in the GF but I didn't bother him - he was talking to some other fans.

We saw a blogger in line for 7DMT. It seemed to me like that would be a pretty lonely experience right now. The best part of touring solo would have to be talking to other people and being in the crowd. People pretty much keep to themselves and their own groups right now so its nice that you said hi.

nothing foolish about going to wdw at this time. I’m going beginning of dec and end of January. Went to Disney Hilton head in September.Like you we like to help people out. Lots of people need our help at wdw/ universal etc.
last time we went wasn’t into you tube. Now I’m into you tube probably watch about 7 different ones. Probably watch about 2 a day on average. Like to help them out also. Got a young dog who doesn’t do good alone unless the tv is on. So I turn on you tube.

might be lonely but that’s their job. What a good job they have.Hope they all make lots of $$$$$!. Most sadly don’t make it. If I started one I might get three viewers. Some it’s their full time job, some it’s their part time job. Many hope they can get rid of their day job and do you tube full time. Wish them all well. Enjoy watching them.

Speaking of bloggers, who are your favorites to watch?

my favorite is tmartn2 He made it big in you tube. Mainly gaming. I don’t watch it for that he puts out some very good dog videos. Cooper and koda. They have another one called trev and chels about their vacations. of course they haven’t went anywhere lately. Another one called super cooper all about their two dogs and their cat. Last I checked he makes 1.2 million dollars a year on you tube. His live in girl friend works at wdw. Or did haven’t seen her in her uniform lately. Don’t think she’s hurting if she got laid off.

I watch prince charmin dev
Tim tracker
Michael kay
Resort tv1
A Berger with everything. She new
Dfb guide
Mickey views
Paging mr morrow
Fix flix
Super enthused

Our favorite is Mickey Views (Brayden). His delivery is fast paced & focused.

Editing to add: I've been uneasy with bloggers, more recently vloggers, since the early 90s. When attending our annual tech conference at WDW, the bloggers got the best seats at the General Opening Session. FWIW, I didn't find their content particularly useful or accurate ... so it really bugged me that they were 'favored' during this time. The industry adulation over minor media was embarrassing to watch and sometimes frustrating to real conversation and progress.

That said, WDW bloggers and vloggers ... I don't even notice them. I s'pose I'm either over my early hostility or, in the grand scheme of things, I don't consider WDW reporting to be of any particular importance? The few I watch are purely entertainment.

Now that we're talking about it . . .

I could do with less about what the latest cupcake or other treat is in the parks. Also, I am beginning to see the monetization of this more and more and I liked it better when this was less obvious. It makes me wonder how many of these folks the market can bear. I'm sure many many more.

My favorites are the ones where folks walk around and show me how beautiful everything is. Especially the landscaping.

I like all the ones mentioned and I'm learning about some new ones! I really like Here With the Ears. Their livestreams are really good as well as their at-home content.

What I really like is their room tour videos. They have one for almost every room type in every hotel and DVC property. In 2019, they sold their house, put their belongings in storage, and "lived" at WDW for a year by staying in different properties. They also have a real job LOL - they own an online marketing company. They've now moved to Orlando and are continuing to add room tour videos as well as their other stuff.

I also like Provost Park Pass - they do content for both WDW and Disneyland. I like their "Secrets of" videos for rides.

4K WDW is great for that! Most of the videos are no talking whatsoever, just scenic videos

I'm kinda over the monetized livestreams too. I like ResortTV1 and Cory Meets World, but most of the discussion is them thanking people for their donations. I don't begrudge them at all for making money on good content, but it gets very repetitive.

Not being able to go to WDW for the first time in 10+ years, I've ended up watching a lot of vbloggers. The main ones I always watch are:
  • Dis Unplugged & The Dis
  • Paging Mr. Morrow
  • Super Enthused
  • Prince Charming Dev

Here a couple of very random thoughts on bloggers - I wonder if y'all share them:

1. AJ on DFB, there's something about her voice and the way she does her blogs. It's perfect. She has the perfect voice and she clearly loves what she does. I could listen to her talk about anything.
2. Hear with the Ears: This couple is adorable. That's it.
3. Paging Mr. Morrow: I love that guy. When he starts to eat and he does the slo-mo . . . perfection.
4. Tim Tracker: He got it all started for me (well Pete did sort of then Tim). I've always loved him. I liked him more as a starving artist but I don't want anyone to starve. I wish him and his family all the best.
5. WDW Couple: Again, adorable couple. They really seem to love each other and I like to see that. Reminds me of when I was younger.
6. Resort TV1: Ummm sort of. I do send them money via paypal and met them once in the park. The thrill isn't gone but . . .
7. Passport to the Parks: This guy is a zealot for the Skyliner. I love that. He's got a great family. One night during the riots this summer he straight up did a live show talking about the riots. What a risk! I was thinking many of the same things he was. I love how much he loves the Skyliner.
8. Pete: Love him. Love the rants. Love his generosity.
9. John: Love him.
10. Kevin: Love him. I am him.
11. Corey: Love him and his bride and family. Fellow sufferer from Louisiana.
12. Michael Kay: His dad is terrific. Met him a couple of times - really wonderful. ALOT OF ENERGY.
13. Brayden: This guy is amazeballs and will one day build an empire. An empire of awesomeness.
14. Jack: I've been Jack and you've been you, I'll see you real soon - he's like Reuters for WDW. And the accent. Love it.

We've seen TimTracker on our last two WDW trips. Once in Disney Springs and once in Animal Kingdom. We didn't go up to say hi thought, too shy.

We also saw Pete and Charles from the DIS in Disneyland when we went in the spring of 2018.

My favorites:

Dis Unplugged (of course)
Prince Charming Dev
Jen Lefforge
Theme Park Express
WDW Couple
Here with the Ears
Disney Food Blog
Beyond the Kingdoms
Neverland Family
Pixie Dust PhD

I occasionally watch Tim Tracker, but can handle only so much

My family watched Tim Tracker religiously for some time. This was before they bought their new home. We really sort of marveled at the up-by-the-boot-straps way that he seemed to grow over a couple of years. Then his channel became a darling of Disney and the channel seemed to be produced by Disney itself. Now I am sorry to say he is a commercial and I am uneasy about sharing so much about his son. But what do I know about all this. I do wish him well but I am more a fan of the bloggers that are not contractors for Disney. I like their ingenuity, grit, and personalty.

I really don't feel like their blog's tone towards Disney has really changed. They were always super positive.

They seem bought and sold to me. Fake. And they don’t even seem like real Disney fans. They know very little about it.

We love Mickey views and Michael Kay. Also love Pete— just love his rough, honest, New York attitude. We lived there for a bit and definitely have a soft spot for forthright New Yorkers! (I know he’s from jersey but to me that whole area is New York lol).

The Dis crew. Especially anything reviewed by Pete, and when Craig and Ryno go somewhere. (Haven't personally seen any of them yet)

Tim Tracker. Used to really enjoy the channel, but haven't been as interested the past 1.5-2 years though. (spotted at City Walk).

Currently watching a lot of Paging Mr Morrow and Super Enthused. (spotted at Epcot)

Also watching a lot of Price Charming Dev lately. (haven't spotted)

Here with the Ears. My go to source for room tours. It seems like they have them all. They're well done and consistent from tour to tour. (haven't spotted)

Midway to Mainstreet (formerly Rob Plays). Not really a vlog for the most part. More like short-form documentary videos related to the parks/resorts. (spotted at MK)

Not exclusively Disney vloggers, but cover the parks: Adam the Woo (spotted at CBR) and Justin Scarred (spotted at HS). I also enjoy their non-park travel content: Roadside attractions, filming locations, etc.

Others
Midway Mayhem to get my construction update fix.
