Does anyone know if when they call for showers and T'storms does that generally mean all day washouts or occasional showers off and on?

The last time we were there it rained practically all week due to a Tropical Storm so the last thing we need is more rain. Although the parks were practically empty during these times!

It has rained so much this spring. One positive thing, it will be warmer now than it was in November when we went and it rained. I don't think locals come out as much if rain is forcasted so crowds may be good for you, and just pack a poncho everyday. Never know. Last year it rained everyday and rained out every afternoon parade we wanted to see, but just make alternative plans to go to a more *indoor* friendly park like Epcot or look at the inside rides at MK. It will be humid after it rains so it may seem hotter if it does stop. DQ and other arcades and DD are very popular if it rains. :D

I have read many times on here and in the guidebooks that during the spring it is not unusual to have rain/thunderstorms everyday in Florida so it is always in the forecast. When we were there last June it rained every day - some days were worse than others. It generally rained about 15-20 minutes every afternoon then cleared up. There were only a couple of days that it rained longer than that.

Summer is generally the rainy season in FL. We need that daily shower (usually no more than an hour) to keep our water table up and reduce our wildfire risk.

We were there the week of June 20th last year, and it rained pretty much all day every day. From what I understand, that was an aberration. Other than that trip, the rain we've experienced has been an hour or two here and there.

Being from South Florida not a day goes by when the weather forecast goes below 30/40% chance of rain. It will rain or show signs of rain each day in the spring and summer. Some showers may last an hour but normally it is usually just a quick shower of 15-20 minutes. Not enough to ruin a day at WDW just delay it.
