Saturday I hit my window to call and make ADR's. Well I have been calling everyday to get the ones I want. I have been able to everyday since but not today. I just called to make an ADR for Hollywood and Vine for 10/31. She told me I am not able to until May 4th for that one. I told I was staying onsite at POR and thought I had 190 days. She told me no I didnt. Isnt it 190 days out for resort guest???

It's not 190 days before, it's 180 days from your check in and you're able to make up to 10 days worth of ADR's.

Okay thanks, I wonder why they have let me book on the other days, I was able to get CRT, 50's, the one in Morocco and the Biergarten.

If you are within 180 days of your checkin date, you should be able to make ADR's for your entire stay (as long as it is not more than 10 days). Call back.

Her 180 day mark is 5/1, the other CM made a mistake.

I thought it was 180 days as well. I called to change our resorts from CBR to POR and the lady on the phone said that it was now 190 days you could call. So Saturday I could start making ADR's. I got up early to get CRT and did. I called on Sunday and booked two more ADR's and then again on yesterday and got another ADR. All different CM.

The rule isn't 190 days out. It's 180 from check-in.
When you hit the 180 day mark FROM YOUR CHECK-IN date you can call and book up to 10 days worth of ressies ( which makes the last day of a 10 day trip 190 days out). That is why some say you can make them 190 days out. It isn't really. You need to wait until you are 180 days from checkin.

From your ticket it doesn't look like you are 180 from check in so you are too early to book ressies.

Well I guess then 3 different CM have made mistakes on letting me make them. :confused3 On 3 different days too.

That's right. The onsite perk is you can call 180 days from check-in and then you can book 10 days worth of ADRs.

However, there are some CM who are confused by this I think because the computer lets them so they just do it and they just don't know any better; not trained properly.

You could call 5 times and get 5 different answers but the perk is 180 days from check in and the ability to book 10 days worth of ADRs so you only need to call once.

Nice onsite perk but causing lots of confusion and sometimes unfairness.

Thanks for the info everyone! I guess it does have them confused, and well so was I. I only have two more to make, Hollywood and Vine and Ohana's so I will wait until my date to make it fair for everyone.

it's like this. when you try to book something 3 days before your 180 starts, that 3rd day is part of someone else's 180 + 10 period. so YOU are not supposed to be able to, but someone else who will already be on site IS. so the computer allows for bookings on that date. the computer is not checking your disney reservation # to validate your ability to book, it's relying on the CM to be smart about what they're doing.

a lot of this has to do with not effectively changing the backend system when they introduced the 180 + 10 concept. all a CM can do is book something as it's available to them in the system.

they are supposed to be paying attention to the 180 day mark, but honestly, many of them are just as confused with 180 + 10 as guests are. and probably some just don't care.

but for the record, despite what CMs may allow you to do sometimes, 180 + 10 does not equal 190.

This had me confused for awhile too. I don't understand why they just can't say...ADR's On site guests can book reservations 180 from date of check some exclusions may apply for longer than average stays (for people who are lucky enough to stay 2 weeks plus). I think it would be less confusing to the CM's and the guests.

It is very confusing, that is why I am thankful I found this site. I have been to Disney many times growing up only living 2 hours away. But have never really done and full vacation there. Thanks everyone!

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I had called bright and early Sun. morning to make CRT ADR's with no problem then called back Mon. morn to make additional ADR's. When I called back later Mon. morn to finalize the ADR's I was told that it was not possible, it was too early and that the ADR's I had already made were invalid!? But when I called back 5 min. later, got a different CM the ADR's were made with no problem. My 180 days technically start today, I too was unclear on the 180+10 rule. Does anyone think my ADR's will get booted out?
