In my quest for codes, I did the online application for the Disney visa in hopes that would get me on some magical list.

Of course after the application it said they couldn't give me an instant answer, which of course to me is denied!

Today I got the card, wow!

I have my room reservation, is there any advantage discounts with the card? I know the ticket upgrade was just out, but I didn't qualify then anyway since we are in a family suite.

Any other discounts or deals? It says free character greetings, discounts on 'select' restaurants and shops.
Is there a list somewhere of which restaurants?

:cool1:

If you go to www.chase.com and register your Visa, you can see the offer that you get for having the Disney Visa. I know when you book and use your Visa you get 0% for 6 mos, you will also get offers before they go to the general public, so if free dining does actually happen Visa holders are the first to know. I do believe you also gets discounts for DisneyLand & Disney Cruise Lines, not sure what they are.

Congrats on your Visa Card!!!!!

Same thing happened to me. I thought I was denied too but couldn't figure out why. :confused3 But about 10 days later my Micky card arrived in the mail. I am so excited.

So, you're telling me I still have a chance...

I applied and got that same message. I've been waiting about a week for my denial to show up. Now, I have to wonder...is there a Disney Visa out there for me too?

Good luck Tina. .Yes, there is hope. I wonder if everyone gets that message.

Good luck all!

My credit isn't great right now, the credit score number. It's not super low either so there is hope!

Now to be very very careful with it!!:lmao:

Maybe there is hope! The same thing happened to me too! Thanks for posting, this is good info to have.

I was given immediate approval...but not told what my credit limit was.

I thought that was odd...now I am just waiting for my card! :)

Theydid that to us too and when we got the card.... it was a HUGE spendign limit... my DH said it is so people can put their whole trips on there...

Some times I can't figure out if this stuff is serious or not. Are you guys joking or being sarcastic? I've always thought that the only way to not get approved for a card is if you had lots of debt already or bad credit. In that case it wouldn't make sense to be planning a Disney vacation instead of planning for how to get out from under the debt. That's why I'm wondering if this is some kind of joke or if there is something I am missing.

Why would Chase turn someone down other than those reasons? What am I missing?

Seriously, if a bank ever told me "No Sir, you've already borrowed enough." then that'd be a sign that Mickey ain't gonna make things any better.

When you use a Disney Visa cardholder discount code for a trip, do you HAVE to pay for the trip with the card? Also, can you book more than one room with the code?
I am thinking about getting the card, but only to be ahead of the general public on codes. I do like to pay for the trips without putting on credit though. I also would want the discount codes for my family too!

No, not a joke.

We have had bad credit in the past and it is very difficult to raise your score.
Currently we have 3 store cards with limits of 500 each, just so we don't go overboard. We are in no means in credit debt.

This Disney vacation is being paid for in cash anyway.
Yes, now that I have it we will probably use it for a few things down there, food etc. And then it will be paid off. I doubt we will even use it as I have already saved for this trip.

If it can get me some discounts, then it's a bonus!
