It seems like yesterday that Alison was 8 YO and we were on our first trip to WDW. That's Alison on the right.

We returned in 1995:

And again in 2005;

This past June I took her and her fiance for a last trip before the wedding.

They do grow up.

Are you trying to make me cry???
It worked.
Your daughter is beautiful!

I have 4 daughters and I can't imagine that one day I will be writing that post! Everyone thinks we are so crazy to travel with our girls so much, but I am so glad that at least when they are married and gone from our home I will have thousands of hours of vacation video to keep me busy! :rotfl:

Beautiful Photos of your daughter. I will miss my children sooo much when they grow up and move out!:sad1:

Another mom "boo-hooing" here! :rotfl: Thanks for sharing! Time sure does fly by doesn't it? Your daughter was a beautiful bride!:bride:

Yes as much as we wish we can't stop them from growing up and leaving. Lucky for me I still have a 13 year old at home. DD 26 married in June but still lives close by.

Awwww! Just think about the joy of going with her again...with her family! That's what I do with my mom now :)

I bet that time went by like a blink of an eye. Speaking of eyes, mine are starting to tear up too!

Thanks so much for posting this! We really can't afford this trip but I took some of our "gotta fix the house" money and said to heck with it the girls are only going to be this age once. Our last trip my mom was with us and sadly she passed away a month before my youngest daughter was born so it will kinda be sad in a way but one thing my mom taught me was memories are worth more than anything you can buy. Looking at your pictures kinda made me feel like you were letting me know we are doing the right thing - just like my mom would have:love2: :thanks:

They grow too fast. My daughter is 4 and it has gone by in a flash. I hope that someday I will be as lucky as it seems you are with a grown, beautiful well raised child!:goodvibes

Thank you for all of the kind comments. It is bittersweet to have a daughter fall in love with another man, but both of our daughters have chosen well. Next year I will take Amy and her husband to WDW and look forward to taking the grandkids in the future. We still have a son at home and he is Mom's favorite, so she will be the sad one when he leaves.

How sweet!

And just think...another couple of years and you'll be able to add another picture to that line-up.....you taking grandchild on their first trip to WDW.

My little girl now has a daughter of her own and Lily is our first grandchild.

Grandpa will be taking his Disney princess to WDW soon!

Awwww! My DD is only 9, but all of a sudden she is a big kid and not my little tiny girl anymore (seems like it happened overnight!). BTW, she's a Lily, too. :lovestruc

Have a wonderful time taking Princess Lily to Disney, Grandpa!!!!!! Thank you for updating this thread, it brought a tear to my eye. Life is so good!

My DD8 is in the other room playing Barbies. Think I'll go in there now and enjoy it...before it slips by me.

Thank you for reminding us all how short this life truly is.

you're killing me with this! Good thing no one can see me tear up here, ruin my tough guy reputation :lmao:

They do grow up so fast, this year will be our first Disney trip without our oldest DS, he's off at college, and probably our last with our oldest DD, she graduates high school this year. Seems like just yesterday we were buying her a Pooh on main street that was almost as big as her! If I didn't also have two little ones at home now, 4 and 5, I think I'd lose my mind. It certainly makes me appreciate the decisions we made along the way to always take family time for vacations, even if we couldn't really afford it. You only have a few short years with your kids, you have to make the most of it. We don't have a big house or fancy cars, but we're wealthier then most.
