These Yankee Candle scents have been discontinued:

Anyone know any others? I know there was a thread on this a while ago, but I couldn't find it today.

Oh darn, and I have never had the chance to smell oatmeal cookie....and I love oatmeal cookies! I also like the garden cucumber, that is a shame.

Does anyone know why they discontinue a scent, is it because it isn't popular? Do they discontinue them only to bring them back after a few years?

Many yrs ago they discontinued maple syrup, now it is back in a country kitchen candle. i think they do that to make it more appealing by renaming it. try the buttermilk pancakes, it smells so yummy

Can you tell I am upset....

I wrote to Yankee Candle about my most favorite candle and this was their response:

Dear Debbi,

Thank you for being a valued Yankee Candle Guest. We appreciate your feedback
on Nutcracker. It is true that this fragrance has been discontinued. The
decision to discontinue fragrances is based on a number of factors and is
decided on by our Corporate offices. I checked our inventory for you, and
unfortunately we have none of those left in stock. I will certainly pass along
your comments to the appropriate department.

I am so, so, so disappointed!!!! If anyone happens to go to the flagship store in Massachusetts and happens to see any Nutcracker I would be forever greatful if you picked some large jars up for me. (Of course I will reimburse for the item and shipping!)

Notice except for mulberry they are all food related.

I know Elaine doesn't buy them because they make her hungry.

I'm assuming that's why a lot of people didn't buy them so the sales probably prompted the discontinuation.

I buy mostly the food scented ones. I have allergies and don't generally like the very flowery ones. Sometimes they remanufacture a scent. They got rid of cranberry and replaced it with Cranberry chutney.

I hope it's not the case that they are phasing out the food scents.
