Hello again MAYers!

I am posting to you from my new house!!! Yep, I have internet and we don't even live here yet!:rotfl:

Thanks for all the great dining suggestions everyone!

Sulley - yep, we went to Sci-Fi once and loved it. We didn't go in January, so we are looking forward to going back on this next trip! All the boys love the CP breakfast. I don't usually eat breakfast, but I even think it is good. We are going to the Turf Club on your recommendation! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: for internet!

OK. Well, I won't force it on you then :rolleyes1

Hey Sulley - You're 1 post away from 1000!!!!

Hello Mayers,

Sorry that I have been MIA a couple of days.

I have been working on my mom's memorial service for this Saturday. Spent a ton of hours putting together two slideshows and photo folio booklet of her life. Lots of writing, scanning old pictures, and graphic design. To say it has been hectic, has been a understatement. LOLOL!

Check with you all later.

Sea

Congrats to...1000 posts, friends visiting, internet in the new house, not having to go to court, and a very special well done wish to Sea for planning a wonderful service to honor his mom.

So since you asked I have decide to share some pictures of our new place.
We are really enjoying it.
We bought a great California raised ranch on a corner lot just outside a small town called Amherstburg. ( So, I live in the BURG now too!!! :lmao:) Our town is about 25 minutes south of Windsor, where the Detroit River meets Lake Erie...in case you wanted to look that up.
It's close to a great school, and unlike our old street there are other kids in the neighbourhood, so I know the kids will enjoy and benefit from it. They are missing our pool right now, but next summer we will take care of that too.)

Jason is home an extra hour each day without the extra commuting time, so we are extremely happy about that. We decided on this house for many reasons, we had looked at a lot of others some larger or layed out differently, but since Jason travels so much for work, I didn't want to spend all my time cleaning it on my own. Plus I definitely wanted to spend my free time with the kids.

Another reason we loved it was that this house has just as big a yard as we had before (room for the previously mentioned pool), we liked the lay out, it allowed us a livingroom, but also gave the kids the lower level family room to spread out in, and we really loved all the hardwood throughout it. But mostly with buying in Amherstburg, it kept our mortgage payment pretty much where they were so I can spend that extra money on planning vacations instead. :) Which keeps my wanderlust in check. I see Disney in our near future as well. :)

I hope you like the pics.
A lot to still do and work on..but its going well.

You have a very nice home Lake. Love the hardwood floors and the kitchen is very nice too. I hope that you will make wonderful memories here. - Sea

I can't see the pics Lake. :guilty: It's blocked at work - and I have no internet at home. :sad2: I'm sure it's beautiful!!! I'll see it soon enough hopefully!

Good luck with all your preperations Sea. I'm glad that you all are celebrating your mom's life with photos and memories. It's such a nice way to pay your respects. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. :grouphug:

Great pics Lake! :goodvibes Love the house. I will post some of mine soon. All I have right now are "before" pictures. I'd be embarrassed to show you them! I'll wait til I have the "after" pics to go with them! :thumbsup2

Good luck with all of your memorial planning Sea. I'm sure it is a very emotional time for you. We are here if you need us.

Lake - Love the new house! The landscaping is gorgeous. Did you guys do that yourselves. Are all the boxes unpacked? I kept thinking I would see boxes stashed in a corner, but there was not a box to be seen.

I was going to add you as my friend on facebook but couldn't figure out how to do it. Normally I think there is an add as friend button but I didn't see one!

Sea - I hope the memorial service goes well and is everything you want it to be. My thoughts are with you and your family!

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments!!!

As far as the lansdscaping goes, there was a little bit there, but we have been busy filling it in with plants and stones, and installing the water feature.
I had taken some cuttings and bulbs of some plants from the garden at the old house, and planted them here.

Oh, and trust me there are boxes around.... I just shot around them.:lmao:

I'd be happy to be friends with any of you on facebook as well. Just message me!!!!! :)

:cool1:
woohoo... this morning I have two new friends on facebook!!!

Actually not really new. We've been online friends for a few years now.:rotfl:

Hey MAYers! I'm back from the swimming Nationals in Indianapolis. All I can say is that it was AMAZING. We saw Michael Phelps and Aaron Peirsol set new world records!!! I took about a zillion photos (even went out after the first session and bought a new camera with better zoom :lmao:). My BFF got Ryan Lochte's autograph and Phelps walked right past me, about 3 feet away. :faint: I may or may not have worked really hard and waited for a long time to position myself for that! ;) :rotfl2:

If any of you would like to see photos, PM me and I'll show you some! :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well!!! :goodvibes

Hi guys! :goodvibes

So, SEA - Will you be joining us for our super fun MAYers meet in the 'burgh? popcorn::

Afternoon MAYers!

How is everyone?

Bad news here. . . We were supposed to close today on the sale of the building lot we own, but the guy backed out last night. :furious: I can't believe it!! I am so mad!

When we got the PIN for free dining for this fall I told DH I was going to book the trip but we would only go if we 1) Sold the house 2) Got the new house 3) DH passed his exam and got his certification he needed for work - which he did 4) DH got his raise for the certification before the "pay-freeze" went into effect at work - which he did and 5) We sold the lot - which we thought we had. I couldn't believe when everything fell into place. But now :sad2:. . . . . I asked DH last night if I should cancel the trip but he didn't answer me. :confused3 I don't think he wants to cancel it. But we are pretty disappointed about this deal falling through. We just wanted to be done with the whole thing.

I'm sorry about the lot Shelly :sad2: That sucks.

I hope everything works out for you guys! Don't stress if you can't make it to WDW in November. I know it would be disappointing - but it'll be there next year, there's always new codes coming out :earsboy:
