Quick pop in hello from not-so-sunny South Carolina!

It has rained non stop since my plane landed on Wed. YUCK. Hasn't stopped us though-
my cousin is in from Puerto Rico and my other cousin took the week off from work- so yesterday we went for an early morning coffee date and then shopping and a long looooong 2 1/2 hour lunch with our mom's...

Walked in downtown Charleston this morning- in the rain-- and then had She Crab soup for lunch. we're meeting up at a local Barbeque place tonight and then tomorrow is our big shin-dig Oyster Roast. honestly- it will be quite interesting- there are people there that I haven't seen since High school 20 something (!) years ago. No- I do not go to High School reunions.



Kim--- so sorry about your FIL. We are here to listen when you need us to. We understand the situation all too well.


RF---- woo hoo for ADR's soon! Okay- wait--- where are you staying? Is it CBR or do I have that wrong? For some reason I thought you said you were staying there. I remember you saying you were able to use the Giant Eagle cards-- that's so cool. List your ADR's for us when you get them.


KB--- here's your Naner dude countdown...
I am very jealous------

Shelly-- hi ya! Your part itme job looks pretty full time to me. I remember the hobby show from last year. Was the Star wars stuff a hit?

Sea---- oh my--- Cross us off the DL list for September-- there's no way we can do it with us going all out for the MAYcation. We'll be there in spirit though. It looks like so much fun.

Okay- off I go- I'm going to peel shrimp for mom!

Hello all..... I'm sorry I have not been on in a while it seems like. I have had the WORST week. I lost one of my favorite family members on tuesday night. She has had a LONG battle with depression and she finally lost that battle. It's still just so hard to think about it. We just went out 2 saturday's ago. She seemed so happy she had a great time.... i just don't know what happened but i should have realized something when she sent me an email last thursday telling me that she had a great time and that she had not done that in a long time.... she wrote that she loved me and was very proud of me.... i wish i would have realized it sooner... she was i want to say about 40.... it's just so hard.... it's like i'm trying to wake up from a horrible dream and i can't.... She is going to be creamated on the 19th and her son is flying her ashes to Guatemala on the 23rd. They won't release her body any sooner because they want to make sure she didn't take any other pills.... I'm sorry i forgot to mention that she took 20 Ambien pills and then her heart couldn't take it and she had a heart attack.... It's crazy even if i write this i still think that she is gonna call me any minute now.... and then needless to say I had 4 exams this week... which by the way i'm not even sure how i did... i honestly have been like a zombie this week..... thank you guys for listening to my rant....

I don't HS reunions either. Just got my 30th invitation this week and promptly tossed it into the trash.

Bummer you can't come out in Sept to DL - there is always D23 Expo in 2011! And August in California is 100% better than Florida - NO HUMIDITY!

Mari - I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck with your exams, I know it's a hard time for you. I'll be praying for you.

Jo - We're staying at POP, but we may upgrade to CSR if it's not too much of a price jump after we get the free dining code. As of right now, it's a $500 difference which I am *not* OK paying. If after the free dining it's a little less (seeing as how my family is doing the DxDP again - and we would have to upgrade from the free QS plan) then we'll upgrade. I am hoping for a $250 or less difference.

It would be worth spending the extra money just to be at the same resort as everyone else.

I'll post my ADR's when I get a chance... We are booking a TON of them, more than likely I won't eat a sit down lunch - just a signature meal and a CS lunch. But, the option will be nice

Hi Mayers!!!!

What a beautiful day we are having in SoCal! It is suppose to get up to 80 today!

I don't know if I mentioned this last week, but it was announced that a new annual pass is going to be made available. It is the "Premier Passport" and it allows you admission to both all the parks at WDW and DL, including the two water parks at WDW and parking too for $700 per person.

So...our AP's expires in about 3 months...so it I am about 95% sure we are going to do this! We are already talking about doing a trip this summer and a pre-Christmas trip. (Hi Shelly!) I think to make it worthwhile, we will need to go at least 3 times to WDW in a year. So, maybe two, two week trips and one long weekend trip - well maybe two or three of those....LOL!

I have got to go and make some money now...

Even more new AIW merchandise came to DL this week...

Last week Richard Sherman, along with his brother Robert, were honored with a window on Main St. for their contribution of music to various Disney films, rides and attractions. Can you name all of their songs??? LOL!

A new sign was installed at IASW this last week also. I think it looks really awesome at night.

Yes! We definitely would like to do the Pittsburgh trip with the Mayers. I am just finalizing a couple of show dates that I have to do for my company this summer this week so I can then settle on a date to meet up with you guys.
I will let you know soon.

Our thoughts about WDW and the new pass: We are already spending $429 per person for DL AP. Upgrading to the new Premier is only $300 more. Even if we go to WDW once, the pass will definitely pay for itself because an 8 day park hopper is about $300 or so from Undercover tickets. I feel we get our money's worth from our DL AP's and having the opportunity to go do WDW and the water parks (which we didn't get to try yet) is a very good deal we think. Plus we do get discounts on food and merchandise purchases too! We also get deals on rooms and package vacation deals too.

Hopefully we can meet up with you on your fall trip!

Hi everyone- I've been MIA for a while. Lots on my mind lately- Andrew's school sitaution. My FIL's health. Missing Disney terribly. Planning the kid's bday party this Sat. and I can't for the life of me find a place that will do a Star Wars cake and not charge me a limb to do it. You name it, it's on my mind! Plus this time change thing really messes with me. We were 10 minutes late for church yesterday and that was the 11am service! And it was waaay too dark to get up this morning.

Mari- I'm so sorry to hear about your family's loss. You're in my prayers.

KB- Safe travels! Can't wait to hear all about your DL adventures!
