Ah man, I haven't gotten to see this yet and am really looking forward to it. But most people are saying it's just OK. Hoping to get there this coming weekend. I am off on Friday but we are have a special adoption day at the shelter so I will be there volunteering. All animals are free so we are hoping to clear the place out! So maybe I'll finally get to see the movie Saturday or Sunday.

It was OK.. it was cute and fun but not over the top like the other pixar movies.

eah for another trip! I've been reading a lot of cruise TRs lately and am really wanting to do one of those so I'm not sure what we I will be doing in 2016 at this point.

So do i.. and honestly a cruise is what i was looking into for us in 2016.. But Disney world with this family took priority! PLus its a FIRST TIME for them!!!

When I was in high school I jammed my finger playing volleyball and it became a swollen mess. My mom didn't want to bother the doctor about it, so I took a Popsicle stick, bent it a little, and made my own splint. Peanut is lucky that she has a mom who takes swollen fingers seriously.

I have broken jammed everyone of my fingers. Hence why they look like sausages now.. (i was the setter)
same thing i jsut taped them... The way hers was swelling and turning so many colors.. It's why i have insurance right? LOL

Would your 2016 trip be in the fall again? It sounds like it will be fun to plan.

Meg update.
At work yesterday i got the call from the doctor stating SHE BROKE IT! can you believe that? AND i think it's more the knuckle rather then the finger! I still cannot believe she broke it.
Had to call and make an appointment with a bone doc. So we will be headed to the doc tomorrow at 5:30 to see what she actually DID to it...
still cannot believe it!



On the 2016 trip:
I have been pouring over resorts. She is leaving this up to us. I told her we would be happy in a cardboard box as long as it had a pool.
Still looking.
Need a cool PTR title.

On the 2015 trip:
I got nothing at this point. 2016 trip kinda took over my planning... HOPE to have something fun to report next week!

I do hope it's a great day! Last time we did this we had over 70 adoptions. I was skeptical about the "free" thing but we have just as many returns when people pay the adoption rate as when the are free. And if they get the free animal from us it's fully vetted unlike the free puppy or kitten they may pick up in a Walmart parking lot.

I'm going to sneak out of work at 3 today so I can go and do some photos of the kittens for the web site so people can see them before coming on Friday.

Jacob was really upset they were closing DisneyQuest. That was the only way I could get him to DTD. Right now, he has no desire to go back to WDW. I am hoping to plan a trip around Dapper Days.

Bad Mom Moment..

So on Tuesday Meg asked if she could go swimming. I said sure. at that point i didn't think it was broken, I swear even now i cannot believe it.
So she took off the splint went swimming. That's when i got the all it was broken! I called the house right away PUT THE SPLINT BACK ON! geesh! oops... we are back on track and i am anticipating in this doc appointment to see what is going on!

OK I was called in to job #2 yesterday.. then asked if i could stay until close.. Which i didn't get out of there until 11:30. So i am working on about 3 hours of sleep here.
I couldn't do an update on Maine and have it make sense for A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G
So i will wish you all a wonderful Thirsty Thursday!!!

How did it go?

It went as well as it can go with moving kittens.

I ended up taking photos of 40 of the animals. Here's a link if you want to see my "work". I put work in parenthesis because the pictures are not the best. Most of the kitten photos and the two bunny photos are mine. Another lady was taking the adult cats and the dogs while I was doing the kittens. Of course just as we finished up, they brought three more cats from the intake building. Those are the ones without photos right now. The other lady (who is an employee) said she would try to get those today.

I seriously doubt he would ever do research, he leaves that kind of stuff up to me, so the only way he would find out would be if someone told him. Honestly I will probably have to tell him because he will have to make arrangements so everything is covered while he is gone. I think he would have a serious meltdown if he got on the boat without knowing.

Hope Meg's finger is on the mend soon! I found myself at urgent care today for a sprained index finger myself! Dumbest injury ever... I jammed my finger on a button at the gas pump yesterday. I was going to ignore it, but it started turning blue this afternoon, so I figured I should get it checked. My husband has been having a lot of fun with this little injury of mine, as ridiculous as it is!

I hope you and your family have enjoyed your 4th!

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone had a safe and festive 4th?

Before i get into the 4th festivities... Let's talk about my poor peanut.

I left off with the doc calling and telling me the finger was broken. Just not how or what.
I had made an appointment with the referred bone doctor on Thursday
Wednesday i had to work job #2 didn't get home until after midnight. Thursday i was DEAD here at work but had to come in otherwise i would lose the holiday pay... So i was here.
The Doc called and asked if we can come in EARLIER! YES! please it's killing me i need to know what's going on with my poor daughter!
THe doc came in and i immediately liked him. Nice guy. ordered MORE X-rays. just in case she hurt her finger more with taking off the splint while sleeping.
OK.
Came back and showed me where she broke it.
Middle finger growth plate right above the knuckle and before the finger starts.
I was shocked.
Then ordered a CAST... Yeah... a cast. I was against this. But he said because "she cannot be trusted" with the splint he was going to put a cast on her:

Afterwards i had to get a few things done and had to stop for ice cream for being such a great kid.
Friday i had to do something for job #2 then home again to start cleaning...

I had figured on having a nice and QUIET 4th of July just the family a little BBQ-ing Play in the pool. ya know RELAXING?
well i get a text from my little brother (friend we grew up together so we are more family) talking about how excited he is to come by, with his fiance and her little girl. THEN i get another text from someone else asking what to bring...
WHAT?!?! Tom apparently wanted a real party. find out there is about 20+ people coming over. My little quiet 4th turned into loud and party. damn
regardless we had a great time. When meg woke up on Saturday with a black eye - or i had thought she did

Later on My sister pointed out no.. it's not a black eye but a bug bite.
This poor kid.
THEN i had bought these cast saver things that go over the cast so you can shower and not get it wet. Told Meg to be careful... That didn't work either and her cast was SOAKED! crap i have to call the doctor and explain this one, along with the bug bitten eye and sparkler burn on her thumb...
DCFS is surly going to be called...

yesterday i had to work job #2 again came home and Matt has a head cold.
Something has to give here...

Today i am back at job #1 then have to work again at job #2.

I'm tired..

I will let you all know what the doc has to say about my terrible parenting!!!

also going to try to get a Maine update done today.., Monday's suck for me especially with a holiday thrown in...

Awww, poor Meg, hope she heals up quickly. Like I said on Facebook, those cast covers are a pain in the you know what!

Jim and I did have a quiet 4th of July. Went to my Disney Outlet store which is a little over an hour drive. I was pretty disappointed. They used to have a lot of parks merchandise but now there is none. I'm not sure why? I did buy a new Belle shirt and two sets of PJs. I love the Disney two piece PJ sets. They only had two different ones this time, Nightmare Before Christmas and Cheshire Cat, or I might have gotten more.

We ate lunch at Red Robin since there isn't one near our house and then stopped at a second mall that has a Lego Store. Jim got a new Architecture set (NY City Flatiron Building) and a Star Wars one (the Ghost from Rebels). I also found yet another new Pluto mug at the Disney Store there. I must have at least 20 different Pluto mugs.

Then we went and saw Inside Out. Jim and I both agreed with your assessment that it was just OK. Some really funny parts but it dragged in the middle. There were two little girls next to us, probably around 5, and they were asking halfway through the movie if it was over yet. I don't think it's really good for younger children.

That evening we just hung out at the house comforting the dogs who were flipping out over the fireworks. I watched the live feed from WDW and that was about it!

I will be on my computer first thing tomorrow morning to get those Stitch Tsum Tsums!

I know what you mean about needing somewhere to put your thoughts about your 2016 trip. I'm struggling with that myself, but I'm trying hard exercise will power and not start the PTR for it until until I get home from the December 2015 trip. (Let's see how long I can hold out!)

Poor Meg! At least she's keeping a good attitude about it all! She looks so sweet sleeping on the couch with the puppies!
