Had to get all caught up again (story of my dang life). I remember those time-consuming all encompassing football days. While they were fun and all, I don't miss them a whole lot. Around here, they play for blood and not just in high school or college, elementary school age too.

The kiddos look all cutesy wootsy for the school pictures. I'm sure that they'll smile real big for the camera!

Very fast update... I am On the HUNT for CHEAP flights I am really trying to get Meg down to Epcot so she can say goodbye to her beloved Duffy She took the news extremely HORRIBLE last night.. So the Mom that i am is trying this out.. We would fly down. stay at our friends house go to Epcot. I will allow her to go in line over nd over again just to say her goodbyes..

The kids look really cute.

One of my pet peeves is when the photographers can see that your hair is a little messed up but they don't bother to tell you. I have a whole bunch of wedding pictures like that.

Yes football just takes OVER. Yes it's the same here. one of our players was taken off the field yesterday in a stretcher. I haven't heard if he is OK yet.

The Duffy Dilemma. ​

Oh where to start on this...
How about the beginning:
In 2007 we had a house fire and lost EVERYTHING started with the dryer. The kids were home with the babysitter when the house started filling with smoke. She called Tom and he turned around come back home Once he got there all the firetrucks were there and fire was billowing out my front windows. Thankfully the kids and dogs got out unharmed.




















Needless to say it was one of the hardest moments in my life. Tom and i had to help the kids and the trauma for years. Until 2010 our first Disney trip. Duffy had just come out and i told him i was NOT going to get into the Duffy hype.

well...

Tom took the kids into the christmas shop and came out with this:


This saved her from all the bad.. Not more bad dreams no more bad thoughts. It all washed away because of a silly little bear.

When the news of Duffy came he was leaving the parks well let's just say it was like the death of a friend.

It was tragic!

It bothered me all day on Thursday so i called my mom and talked to her..

Came home talked to Tom.

Kids finally home i sent Meg in and kept the boys outside.. Explained to them the situation. If they said no or if they didn't feel like it was fair then No it wouldn't happen.
The both looked at me with WIDE eyes and said YES! "did you see her last night? YES take her!"
I love my kids.


We are booked Tuesday (tomorrow) 6am flight out of O'Hare (yes i am going to O'Hare)
coming home Wednesday night about 8 something... I did it.. Just Meg and I.

To be fair Tom is taking tomorrow off to do something fun with Zack and Matt!!! YET I feel terrible for leaving them behind.

So I have been a nut running around!!! As you know i have issues all of a sudden with packing... i have never been like this before. Lately it's horrible. In my defense i have been SO BUSY! Friday i had to get the trip booked. Then i had training. Saturday i had to work job number two and get the laundry done. Sunday i had football. (we lost) today i am here at the city job. Tonight i have to go home shower and PACK!

I also did a selfish little thing.. Since it's just Peanut and i I rented a car for us. a fun little convertible! I don't know what model car i don't care as long as it's a fun convertible!!!

SO When we land we jump over grab the car head over to our friends house Kathy! drop off our stuff Grab Kathy and head over to EPCOT! I will sit on my bench sipping a Margarita Slushie from Mexico while Meg just goes into the line over and over again.

once she has her fill we will wander. Wednesday she wants to head over to HS hit up TT and star tours!
have a quick lunch drop off Kathy then head back to the airport.

I am not being much of anything it's strange just packing for two and just for one night!

I can't wait!!! just girls kinda night!!!

This brought tears to my eyes. Those boys are wonderful. Don't feel guilty for just taking Meg. The boys will enjoy having done something nice for their sister.

They'll probably expect payback later, though.
