This is my first true attempt at dieting. I've never been so serious before.
It is almost scary. :thumbsup2
I've decided to go the Nutrisystem route as I work really long hours sometimes and I am often too lazy to cook.

I weighed 230 when I started two weeks ago and now I'm down to 227. Just three pounds makes me feel hopeful! :teeth:

My DH is going to help me exercise tonight. Everyone think good thoughts for me 'cause this should be interesting :sunny:

I believe I can be in ONEderland for my 30th birthday trip at the beginning of May. But just being closer than I am now is the only birthday gift I want.

Brandi

Hi Brandi
welcome to 'wish' if you need motivation & your spirits keeping up you've come to the right place! :teeth:
Well done on losing the 3lb's already
Hope your exercising went well tonight!

Sending lots of good thoughts & positive vibes :goodvibes
Tracey

Exercising last night was interesting. I shouldn't be so hard on my husband
when he is trying to help me. But it is difficult to not direct some ire at him when he is making me exercise and I don't feel like doing it. Hopefully, my attitude will get better in time.

Today was not a great day. Work has been hard and I have been exhausted all day. My job makes me very unhappy and I pray everyday for a new one.

Didn't even get much time to dream of Disney today. :guilty:

I also have to get over weighing myself everyday. Obsessing will not make the weight come off faster!

Brandi

hee hee i think we've all been there to WI every day, try to pick one day a week :)
My WI is on Friday mornings.
Sending some :wizard: to remind you of Disney magic
& some more :wizard: to help you cope with work!
Well done getting the exercise in, i'm sure your DH understands :)

Good luck to you Brandi! You are already doing great with that 3lb. loss. You can do it, just stay focused and dedicated, it's key. :thumbsup2

Today, I feel better. I exercised on the treadmill for 45 minutes yesterday and that felt pretty good. It helps that I can watch the Christmas tree from the treadmill :thumbsup2 I also watched a rerun of Top Chef but it didn't make me crave.

Work is still hard and exhausting. I'm preparing for a major meeting on Monday and it will probably ruin my weekend because I'm very nervous. :guilty:

The easiest part is sticking to the Nutrisystem diet, believe it or not!
The food tastes fine to me compared to what I used to eat (after all, I didn't get overweight eating haute cuisine!)

Another excercise session with my husband tonight. Give me strength and patience, dear Lord :sunny:

Brandi -- Congratulations on sticking to the exercise plan! Awesome job on the TM and kudos to your DH for wanting to help you. I hope it goes well. Just give him a big wet, sweaty kiss when you are done! :teeth: He'll appreciate how hard you are working, I am sure.

I am so glad you find the nutrisystem food to be palatable. I lost over 20 pounds on NS about 17 years ago and I am sure the food has improved since then. The biggest problem for me was that I didn't learn how to plan or prepare healthy foods and quickly reverted to old habits. I know that education is one of the improvements they've made in the program. I can't wait to hear how well it is going for you. 3 pounds down already is awesome! :thumbsup2 Keep up the great work!

The day has not started well. It was extremely foggy yesterday all day and now this morning is foggy too.
My boss jus screamed at me because he is in a bad mood.

And the worst part...I had to turn down a fresh warm doughnut.
Doughnuts are my favorite food in the whole wide world! :guilty:

I'm too tired to be proud of myself right now...

Good job so far with the weight loss and not eating the doughnut. My coworker is on nutrisystem as well and says the food is good. Have a nice weekend.

Ugh. I woke up early this morning and had to set all the clocks because the electricity went out. Why do I have so many clocks and yet I am often late?
Wait a minute...I'm only late when I have to go somewhere with my husband.
Hmmm....I need to check his watches....

I'm done checking my emails so I guess I might as well get on the treadmill and start the day on a positive note! :sunny:

Happily, I got my full exercise routine done today. Now I'm pretty tired but I feel good. I'm having to force myself not to run to the scale all day long.

I am, however, very, very, very, very nervous about a presentation I have to make tomorrow.

And I'm having zucchini for the first time ever tonight. I hope its good! :sunny:

Have a good night, everyone!

Ugh. The holiday season and my work schedule are conspiring against me and my diet! But my goal is to be under or very close to 200 lbs before my 30th birday trip to Disney in May. I'm down to almost 224 lbs now! :sunny:

 YAY! keep up the great work. I want to lose 40lbs before i hit the big 3-0 in july...so i definetly can understand your journey...we gotta keep on movin!

Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to everyone. :santa:

According to my scale, I've lost about 5 pounds since my Disney trip in November/December. Better health is the best present I can give myself...
Bring on the new year! :thumbsup2

I freely admit that I ate little samples of the buffet at my parents' house. I didn't overdo it though and I'm ready to go back to full time dieting with no guilt. Bring on the new year and the new me!

Hi hope your having a very 'merry' christmas :)

oops sorry double posted, seems they have a few 'bugs' in the new system!!!

Happy new year, everyone!

I've slipped ever so slightly this week but I am still positive. I'm thinking of the new year and the commitment I have made to a new me. Actually, it will be me with new confidence and a new, smaller size and new better health!
Yahoo! :cheer2:

I'm glad I started before Jan 1 as it it easier to say that I will continue my diet rather than start one!

Here we go, it is now officially 2007 and the weight loss quest begins in earnest.

Wow. This is gonna be challenging but well worth it.

First goal is to lose 30 lbs by May. Of course, I will welcome any weight loss and I don't necessarily expect the weight to fall off overnight. Even if it feels like the weight came on all of a sudden. ;)
