It was quite cathartic making the hole, though!!!

We have begun the process of adding on a bedroom to our house. Stage I has begun, which involves moving the fence up, building a new porch, and creating a new door to the back yard.

The door will be where the window is now and there is going to be a porch coming off this side of the house.

We added a den and a full bath and major closets about 5yrs ago. While the process is a pain, I don't know what we would do without the extra space now. You are really gonna love it when it's usable. Notice, I didn't say done.....because we are still working on a few things inside like trim and staining doors.

I have no doubt we will love it, as my DH and I currently have NO bedroom and are sleeping in the living room!! Anything has to be better than that!!! LOL!

Best wishes for your remodeling/add-on. My folks had to go a few years with no bedroom, and I imagine that wasn't fun.
