My DS will be 17 in 2 months. The last 2 years his attitude has been so bad, but typical for a teenager. He was totally self-absorbed.
The last week I've seen signs of my "old" son come back. He helped me switch the laundry while I was out running errands. He made a batch of brownies for everyone to enjoy. Yesterday he saw me having trouble opening a package and actually got off the couch to help me open it! All without being asked to do it.
I didn't think this day would ever come and my little boy was lost forever. I hope it continues to last
So hang in there parents of teens. It's true that they do grow out of it. I wasn't sure if I'd really see it myself...lol

Hehe, I know it'll happen though!
She started this moody behavior since she was 12.
JK!
is my 14 year old daughter. I can't tell you how many times a day I have to remind myself to just keep swimming, just keep swimming, everything will be okay.
Recently the oldest told me that I was "much nicer" than I used to be, that I have "changed so much".
He's lucky I didn't sell him to the circus a few years ago.
Can't wait for this to be over. I love my kids dearly, but sometimes it's hard to like them, ya know? Ah well, at least the 13yo still loves me.
