As it seems like most people have had one hell of a year I thought Id share some nice news...
I got into work the other day to get an excited voicemail from one of my friends who works in our travel team- asking me to call her back urgently. I was in meetings so didnt get the message for a couple of hours but finally caught up with her (she had most of the office team trying to find me!)
She was very excited and finally explained that she had "pulled some strings" with the upgrade fairy for our upcoming 40th birthday/ anniversary trip to the world and had got us upgraded seats and access to the first class lounge before our flight- and I didnt even know she knew which airline we were flying!!
I was flabbergasted - shocked - and overjoyed at such a kind thought. She has really played it down saying it didnt cost her anything but she has made an already amazing trip into a completely unforgettable one - and done the one thing for my birthday that I couldnt afford to stump up for but was really worried about - neither of us is particularly thin and we were dreading the flight as we were going to have to sit in a row of 3 and would squash someone.
So firstly I want to give thanks to an amazing woman with a heart bigger than most and secondly ask if anyone else has had some good karma come their way recently they would like to share?
In a world where news seems only bad - it would be good to hear some good stuff.
