There are 2 babies!

Congratulations! I remember how shocked/excited I was when I found out I was having twins! Mine are now boy/girl twins that are now 5 years old.

Hi everyone! Thank you!

Yes, we're all just a bit shocked by the idea that we'll have two bundles of joy coming home with us instead of just one, but we're excited and thrilled too. It'll be challenging, I know, but definitely worth it and fun too. :goodvibes

The funny part is that the tech doing the ultrasound thought we knew already, since I had been in at 7 weeks to determine my due date. So when she started scanning, she said, "oh, you're having twins" like "awww, how sweet!". DH and I both thought she was kidding - DH even teased me a bit for "falling for it" - "Honey, she's KIDDING." When the tech's expression didn't change, I realized she wasn't. The rest of the test, all I could think was "OMG, twins!"

OH how wonderful Mama Karen and Grandma Pat!!!!!!!!! So happy for all of you!!!!! Just don't use the current Viking players for role models for the boys;) :)

lol...what a way to find out. we had our u/s on halloween of all times and the tech asked us if we knew there were 2 in there. we were a bit shocked, to say the least. it took forever for my mom to believe me. well, maybe 10 minutes, but it felt like forever.

two things I recommend for twin mommies are this website and this book. Both were invaluable both while pg and after.

Holy crap! I had a dream last night about a friend from another board finding out she was having twin boys. Come to find out it was on this board!!!!! WOW! Congrats Karen!

CONGRATULATIONS Mom and Grandma!!!!

May you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. :wizard:

Yeah!!! Congratulations to the whole family!!! That's such great news!

Best wishes for an easy pregnancy and delivery!

Wow, that must’ve been quite a shock! That’ll be a cute story to tell your boys about how you found out about having twins. Congratulations on your two little princes on the way! :groom: :groom:

Thanks - I've ordered the book. :goodvibes

Minnesota! - that's just too funny!

kejoda - no worries there, LOL! I'm still a fan of the team, but I do think the players are a bunch of dunces!

I hope you find it as useful as I did. I found it so comforting, although of course it covers the scary stuff too. Even that I found helpful, though, because it made me understand what I could do to help my pregnancy along. I ended up making it to 34w6d weeks, not bad considering I was on bedrest from 26 weeks on. My twins were both born very healthy, never needed nicu. I believe this book helped contribute to this.

Thanks, Everyone, for your good wishes and thoughts.

Karen and Beccy - nows the time to switch your allegiance to DA BEARS! :cool1:

My twin girls are 3 and a half now, and I can remember in vivid detail how I felt when I found out there were two babies. We had gone in for an ultrasound at 9 weeks and as I was on the table, the tech got really quiet. Finally she said, "You know, the reason we have women lie down for ultrasounds is so that when they get the news that they're having twins, like you are, they won't fall over." My husband started whooping and hollering, but I was in shock.

The next day we met my parents for a vacation in Disneyland, and broke the new to them by asking them to look for Tweedledee and Tweedledum merchandise. It took them a minute, but then they got it. Priceless!
