Themed Stateroom Gifts on Non-Themed Cruises?

I am booked on the Fantasy in May of 2020. Options for ordering in stateroom gifts online for my cruise include the Star Wars Decoration packages and the Marvel Throw and Pillow package. As far as I know my cruise won’t be themed either Star Wars or Marvel so I’m curious why they packages are able to be ordered.

I went ahead and ordered the Marvel package because the blanket looks awesome but I’m afraid that they may cancel it on me if my cruise isn’t themed Marvel!

If they don’t know what dates will be themed cruises, wouldn’t it make more sense to wait until they decide before putting these packages up for order? Maybe this is a new thing allowing you to order these packages on “regular” cruises? Has anyone here successfully ordered and received a themed on-board gift on a non-themed cruise?

I think the only amenities that are date specific are ones like HTHS or Merrytime. Marvel and Star Wars show up on all my other cruises.

We ordered a Star Wars package for our first cruise, Alaska in 2017. I think they are available for most cruises so I wouldn’t worry about them taking the option away later.

We were on a non-themed cruise on the Fantasy in July and ordered the Star Wars decoration package and had it delivered without any issue. You should be fine!
