I have decided I would like to stay at windsor hills, I have been obsessing over sites. Then I realized that I should just ask this on the DIS because you guys always have the answer:banana:

I want a town home with a splash pool and I loooooooove the disney themed rooms for the kids.

Here is my problem (luxury problem at best:rolleyes1)

I either need themed room for each, but that would be too expensive...

or 1 themed bedroom they all could stay in (air matress is not an option, I would have a complete revolt on my hands)

so has anyone rented Windsor Hills before with a Disney themed room that can accomidate 3? Any Disney theme would do:rolleyes1

Keeping my fingers crossed that someone can point me in the right direction:rolleyes: Thanks!:goodvibes

ive asked this exact ?? here on the dis looking for 2 dis themed rooms and the answer is no... but on my search i saw a cute bunk bed room all disney themed it was sort of animal print mickey sort of animal lodge but real nice small buck on top and full bed on bottom for 3 kids/... i'll look around for the website.. if that is what you r looking for// could easily fit 3 kids..im always looking at WH TH for my self so no big deal....

Thanks! I swear I saw a themed room with a bunk bed, but the bottome bunk bed was a double bed. However, I have no clue where:rolleyes1

One cool room + 2 beds + 3 sisters= TROUBLE and serious headaches every night for Mom:headache: I could skip the themed thing, but this will be our first time off site and I thought this would help them to like WH. KWIM?

I may have to go for a more expensive option of a 4 bedroom, because these seem to have a few rooms with a theme. However, I think I would just rather them all in the same room and going more expensive kind of defeats the whole purpose of trying to do a budget trip in our time frame....

I am totally obsessing, so thanks for answering!:goodvibes

Did you look here?

http://www.windsorhillsrent.com/

I have looked at this, but there are no prices here so not much help when considering budget.

There seem to be a lot of themed rooms. We are staying here:

http://www.romancingthemouse.com/id32.html

because they have an Indiana Jones themed room for GS.

My goal price is 85., I do not know if this is a realistic goal? This is a true budget trip for us we are not even supposed to go this year. We usually go during free dining, but my co-worker wants to do free dining to and we both have kids in school. Since that leaves only the end of August...and since I have been the last 3 years...it is only fair that she gets to go during FD.

However, we love Disney...and I won in a school raffle 5 DW tix w/park hopper so we figure we could add on this got the ball rolling that maybe we could do a trip...we are even considering driving:scared1: to keep this to a budget.

I would like the 2 theme rooms, but more than likely a theme room that has the larger bunk on the bottom will work. However, budget really over rides the theme room consideration. My number 1 is a splash pool, and if I can get it I will be very happy!

I feel like I am wanting it all, but I am hoping my obsessive gene will pay off here. Since the trip is not until next June or the begining of Aug. I am hoping a deal comes up, that is a lot of time to obsess, lol. I have seen some great deals, but at the time I did not know what a deal it was.
So I need opinions what is the best way I can get a deal? Wait untill it is very close to the trip?

Will deals come up in Jan or Feb? or is my best bet to book very early?

I really do not know since I have never done this before, so any opinions will be appreciated:goodvibes

I too have seen some with the bunk beds=twin on top/full on the bottom. I'm always looking for full beds in any room, themed or not - my teenagers are just too tall for twin beds. If you can't find a townhome in your price range, consider a condo, building 7&8 are literally right next to the pool. We rented a condo in June and found that because of frequent afternoon lightening storms, we did not use the pool as often as we expected. I was glad we hadn't paid extra for a town home.

I make a spreadsheet with the properties I'm considering, list features I'm interested in different columns and the all important "total price including all taxes, fees and pool heat". Some very similar properties are hundreds of dollars apart in price. For me, it really helps to lay it all out side by side, and usually a few properties really stand out. And if I don't actually write it down, I can't remember the details of all the properties I've looked at!

Good luck finding the perfect property for your family!

What is his site, do you have to pay (it says your membership pays off)?

no.. no pay... he's a nice guy who owns alot of WH... i told him i'm looking for a disney themed end unit w/splash pool and he was in the process of buying it right now and redecorating it... if i could get that unit for $200 or 300 wow //// we would be set.....just go to his site... VacationCentralFlorida.com

if you catch the townhouse at that rate...he had 1 last wk.. for $199 for 9 days...

i must say u have to add the cleaning charge and maybe pool heat....

OP- have you talked to the girls about it? I don't know how old they are, but you might find one of them would like to have her own room. That might make up for it not being Disney theme. My oldest DS doesn't want to share a room with his brother. Since that is what he chooses, then he gets the non themed room. He is just happy to have his own space.

Another option might be to get no themed rooms. There are lots of Windsor hills that aren't themed, but they are still very nice. My Dad stayed in one last year for a really good price, and I started thinking the theme isn't really that important.

Mickeypooh- you are right, I showed my girls ones I liked and my oldest was totally happy to have a grown up room to herself (I think it is Mommy who wants to keep her a little princess for awhile:rolleyes1)

o.k. my priorities have changed since my first post...My Mom shocked me because she told me she would come to Disney with us (Dad is coming too:rotfl:) But I never thought Mom would want to do Disney with us. She has MS and a doggy. Now she probably would go without the dog...but would she be happy???? No sirrreee bob, I know her that women loves her animals more than us:rotfl:

So she has a tee cup shi zu the thing is the itsy bitsy, like Paris Hiltons:rolleyes: purse dog...so now this new monkey wrench, definately changes our plans.

Priorities:
Pets considered (if they consider them, how could they say no to the tiniest dog on earth:rotfl:
Second, I really want to be close to Disney and of all the developments, I really seem to like Windsor Hills best.

so here is my new question (if you still care after all my blabbering)

I need advice on when I should book, is now the best or should I wait a bit, like say Jan or Feb?

I would like it to be budget friendly and since I have never done this just not sure of the time frame I should book...I know I may not get windsor hills, it seems this puppy is really going to cramp my style, but I really want the memories of my parents with my kids at Disney. KWIM

All advice wanted, seriously. I want to look at this from all angles, that is one of the reasons I love the DIS. I always know that I am making a knowledgable choice because of these boards.

Lastly I think I will need a 4 bedroom or the alternative is to book a condo for my parents and a 3 bedroom for us. What do you think about this?

o.k. must have lost ya with my babbling, but I got the dog type wrong it is a Tea cup Yorkie

Maybe I should post a new thread about pet friendly rentals?

Yes, you should probably post it in a new thread. I don't know any pet friendly rentals. I always make sure the places we rent do not allow pets as my DH is severly allergic to dogs. A couple of dog hairs left from the previous renters would ruin his vacation. I don't think I have come across a place in Windsor hills that allowed pets.

When we travel with my parents they stay in their own place. We just make sure they are within walking distance. They prefer it that way. When we travel with DH's parents we stay all in the same townhouse. It works out okay, but sometimes I wish we had our own place.
