Is Bay Lake, the only resort that has a theme park view, or does Grand Floridian have them as well, or just the lake view. Trying to determine which resort will I see the fireworks from our room

A warning about the PVB rooms: if you are on a lower floor, your view may be a little obstructed by the bungalows.

PVB probably has the most centered fireworks view. BLT is closer to the fireworks but to the far right and VGF is to the far left with a more limited view. All see the high fireworks. But only BLT has a theme park view although many guests see only the parking lot because they look down instead of up. However, the best view of the fireworks will always be on Main Street at MK.

PVB??? Can't make that one out
It's a pretty common abbreviation in the DVC section. Are you specifically asking about DVC resorts, or all Disney deluxe resorts?

There are some theme park view rooms at the Grand Floridian, but not at the DVC villas at the resort. I imagine there are some theme park views at the Contemporary and Polynesian, too.

This is why I believe that IF DVC thought there was sufficient inventory they could call TPV at PVB and VGF, they would. Because Poly itself has "Lagoon" and "TPV." So does VGF. And, of course, CR/BLT have Lake vs. TPV as well.

This says, clearly, that they know a difference between a water view and TPV, and, when you look at pricing, they charge it.

Is there anyway you can get at TPV at BLT without having the ugly parking lot to look at?

We stayed in a TPV 2BR at BLT back in February on the 7th floor. I was worried about the Parking lot too but honestly I kind of forgot it was even there. There were so many other things to watch like the monorail going by or the ferry boats or the Astro Orbiter spinning that I hardly even noticed it. I'm not sure what it's like to watch Happily Ever After but when it was still Wishes the view was still really nice. You can turn the tv on to one of the info channels and they will pump the music into your room and it was fairly well synced. We also really enjoyed watching the resort loop area "wake up" every day.

IMO the TP view is over blown. Yes you can see some of the MK roofs, but nothing like you would think.

It's just the nature of how the tower is placed. To view the theme park, you're also overlooking the parking lots.

We were in a LV 2BR on the 8th floor and had a sideways view of Wishes, Space Mountain and the castle, without having to see the parking lot - we were closer to the tennis courts and the lake. Loved the view!

Also at the GF hotel, we had a lagoon view on the 4th floor (I think Touring Plans has good info on what buildings to request) that had a nice view of the castle and high fireworks. It wasn't the same as being on Main Street, but it sure was nice having the kids in PJs and ready for bed, hanging out on the balcony.

I'd like to try the TPV but not if I have to look at that dreadful parking lot. Then I'm gonna stick to the lake view or if I'm on a points budget I'm sticking to the standard view
