Which resort would be better for a theme park view to watch the fireworks from with a scooter challenged adult? Are the elevators at the poly small and hard for someone not used to a scooter to maneuver around in? Would you recommend a club level room at either resort to get the best view of the fireworks or a standard theme park room

We like the view of the fireworks from just outside the Hawaii building at the Polynesian. There is a pathway where you could park your scooter to watch the fireworks or the electric water parade. It isn’t necessary to book CL, but if you do, you can also watch the fireworks from the lounge so you could book a less expensive resort view CL room instead of a theme park view(which is what we are doing in a couple of weeks). As far as the elevator goes in the Hawaii building, I don’t think you will have any trouble using a scooter in it.

CR theme park views are much closer to MK. For MK view, CR would be our choice. Poly is great too, but you feel removed where with CR you feel like you're right there. Either are great though so if you have other reasons pulling. towards Poly, nothing wrong with that.

I will say the elevators at CR can be pretty bust so Poly may be better with a scooter.

I could be misremembering, but I thought the elevators in the Poly buildings were tight for a double stroller but we were only on the second floor one night, we were moving into the ground floor the next day.

We splurged on the Theme Park View at Poly, and while I thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch the fireworks from the patio of our room, I think if we stayed there again we'd do standard or pool view and just watch the fireworks from the beach.

When we stayed at Contemporary a few years ago, that outdoor patio area was a great place to watch the fireworks. It is on the same floor as Chef Mickey's but the opposite end of the building past the gift shop. I think it is considered the 4th floor, but the lower floors don't all extend across the tower. We were staying on the lake view side of the tower. Theme park rooms were several hundred dollars more and mostly you have a view of the parking lot and the tops of the tallest structures in MK. We didn't think that extra cost was worth it just to see the fireworks.

You would be best off at the Contemporary in a theme park view room to see the fireworks. At the Poly, concierge or not, there is too much chance that even with a lake view room your view would be blocked by trees.

CR has the best fireworks view for sure but if you like the lake view and Hawaiian music etc vs a parking lot, then Poly is a pretty view too.

My take having stayed at both is COntemporary is closer which is awesome but the angle is a bit awkward meaning many of the fireworks do not appear to be near the castle (mostly because they are not). The view from the poly is further away but you are near straight on.

I love them both but they are very different - good news is whatever you pick is a great choice
