Has anyone ever had a problem with theft at either park? I'm worried about a few things..
Stroller. Anyone had one stolen before?
What do you leave in the stroller? I figured we would have a backpack in the stroller- have sweatshirts, sunblock, flip flops (for water rides), change of clothes for DD, snacks and water (Are we allowed to bring in outside food and drink?)
Then I would have a fanny pack with money, license, ect. on me.

I read somewhere they do package pickup.. but do you have to go back to each store you purchased stuff from or do they move it up front for you?

What does everyone else do? And any theft?

Don't have a lot of personal experience in this area, but I can answer some of your questions.

Strollers are frequently stolen....or rather "borrowed". Someone will take it....use it for the day......and then usually leave it around the park when they are done. It wouldn't be a bad idea to either rent a DLR stroller.....or bring in a very cheap one that you wouldn't mind losing.

As far as leaving things in it.....same policy.....don't leave anything you don't want to lose. I would personally suggest wearing a backpack with the essentials- change of clothes for your DD, snacks, sun screen etc. Definitely keep ID, wallet etc on you at all times.

A lot of people bring in food or drinks.....snack type items placed in your backpack, diaper bag etc are usually safe......You cannot bring in coolers etc however. Think small light snack and you're OK.

As far as package pick up goes.....I believe there is a shop on Main street [wanna say it's the big one on the left by the fire station] Where the bags are kept......they are transferred over there by CM's after purchase. Again I'm not positive. If you are staying at any of the resort Hotels your packages can be delivered to your hotel room.

I leave nothing in the stroller. We've now had a new pirate hat taken from under an old sweatshirt in the bottom of a stroller, and a balloon carefully taken from its plastic doohickey (didn't just fly off, wasn't popped). We've also had a lightsaber taken after leaving it for maybe 5 minutes on a bench, and it never got to Lost and Found, so someone got a "bonus" souvenir. We leave nothing.

Never had a stroller taken...well, one, but it was a rental (it was not moved to a different spot, it was absolutely gone from Critter Country) so easily mistaken as someone else's (I think that was the one time I left the canopy closed so the nametag wasn't visible...usually I have it open)...I put the brake on and park it "backwards". Pain to park and get it out, but then, it would be a pain for a thief, too. :)

If you're a disney resort hotel guest, you can have purchases sent to your hotel, to be picked up the following morning. If you're not, you can drop things off at the package holding place at the front of the parks.

In my experience, package pickup is available only at select stores and they do NOT transfer it to the package pickup near the entrance on the fire department side of Main Street. They've always told me that I have to take it down to that location myself or pick it up at the stores that offer package pickup.

I would never leave anything valuable (or even cheap, yet difficult and/or costs some money to replace in Disneyland) in an unattended stroller while on a ride. There's just too much risk that someone could even mistakenly and entirely accidentally grab the wrong stroller (not even accounting for dishonesty) and be off on the other side of the park before realizing it. I'm afraid the only "safe" way to carry items such as sweatshirts, sandals, et all is to lug them around in a backpack.

If you rent a Disney stroller and someone else takes it, you can get another one from Disney simply by showing your same day receipt.

Knock on wood but we've had nothing taken. Countless trips to Sea World Six Flags and bot Disney parks. Last trip to DL, our stroller was on it's last leg as DD was too big for it anyway and the stroller leg bent on the 2nd to the last day. But it still worked to get us to and from the park. We got the free Disney Visa once in the park. DH just parked the stroller over by Star Tours at Rope drop. We passed it from time to time. It looked really sad sitting there by itself! We didn't come back and get it until 11:00 pm! We keep our cameras and $$ with us but leave a backpack with snacks and panchos in it

We've never had anything taken, either. I keep a small bag with important stuff in it with me but often leave drinks, snacks, sweaters, etc. in the stroller. I keep a small cooler in the basket and a baby carrier tossed in there, too. Also a potty ring and change of undies. We also don't buy souvenirs until the end of the day but that is more because I worry the girls will lose their stuff before. I've left mine on Main Street by the stairs for the railroad while we cruised around the park and had no problems.

I'd consider renting a locker for change of clothes etc. The only thing we will leave in the stroller would probably a couple of diapers and wipes. The backpack goes where I go.

And please dont think that if it had a name on it someone wouldn't steal it. Two years ago I looked away from my DW ears for just a few minutes to watch my little cousin play a game at innovatons in DL. I turned back around, and they were gone! :scared1: We went to lost and found with no luck. Later on in the day, I actually saw someone with my ears in their kids stroller! I asked and they said they bought them at the hat shop "Just over there". I tried to remain calm as I asked how the ears that they bought in DL said DW on the front, and my name stitched on the back. They were actually annoyed at me, but they gave them back. I was lucky, but most are not! It is unbelievable to me that this happens even in the happiest place on earth.:sad2:

Wow. How weird that someone would want to steal ears with someone else's name on it!

A tip I remember reading (& used with success) several years ago was to put something--either a clean diaper that's balled up or an old, ratty shirt--in a plastic grocery type bag and tie the bag to the handle of the stroller. Hopefully people will assume it is either a dirty diaper or soiled clothing and then leave your stuff alone! lol

Don't leave anything in your stroller of value to you, you just never know who is going to take it or perhaps not be watching their child who sees a princess sweater she likes and snags it. We had our kettle corn swiped last year, but I'd rather lose that over our stroller.

I personally have never had anything taking when I left it in the stroller but my friend's daughter did have her backpack stolen the last time we went. It was while we were at the Muppet's 3D show IIRC.

As to the stroller being taken, take a diaper, poor a dark soda (root beer, coke, etc) onto it, put it in a clear bag and tie it to your stroller. I doubt anyone will bother it.

Our stroller was accidentally taken from outside a ride, the other people had one exactly the same and didn't realise they took the wrong one - we saw them not far away on another ride and we swapped them over.
