See Todd, I'd disagree with you on the car thing... then again the people around here drive like crazy and I feel safer 35K feet up away from the looneys out there ;)

Have a great day all!

My thing is..
You go in the car to:
get bread
go to church
go shopping...
How many times are you in a car compared to a plane??
You go in a plane a few times a year to travel...compared to thousands of times in a car to run errands...etc...
If you got in a plane as often as you got in a car I'm sure the odds would be that you'd be safer in the car...also...how many car crashes are there were people aren't killed compared to plane crashes...???
OK..shutting up now...

As for Pam---I go to church with my wife at Southern Baptist...much more laid back and can talk in church..whisper anyways...:teeth:
Try to go catholic once in awhile since thats how Mom & Dad raised me...

Good morning.....

We're still here!!
I am so ready for a nice massage from a cutie cabana man :teeth:

But instead, guess I will have to settle for doing housework :(

Pam...Elaine, was high last night? ;) No wonder she's too tired this morning. :rotfl:

Have a good day everyone. Glad some of you got to sleep in and hope everyone is almost recovered from their various sicknesses.

Hey now, I was not "high" last night!!!! Not even drinking ;)

Being lazy in replying right now so :wave2: Hi all....

Sherry feel better soon!

Pam, no comment ;)

Oh and Todd, I see what you are saying, but I think my dad has traveled far more miles by air and he's had far fewer accidents (well none) in his airplane, but has had 4 accidents in one year in his car. I worry much less about flying than driving because of that...

Don't wanna work.....

Took some Robitussin and the stuff knocked me out.  I don't know what it is about cold medicines...they all knock me out...its so strange.

I am terrified of flying.

Whew!! Glad to see ya'll are still here where I can find ya!!!! Count me in on ready to move to the spa, though--my back is acting up again and a nice massage from Mel would be greatly appreciated!

Hope you feel better soon, Sherry! do you dream about being underwater when you're all stuffed up and can't breathe? My mom did and I do occasionally! Kinda weird, huh??!

Liz, glad to hear you're feeling better too!! Chocolate martinis??!!:earseek: Sound decadent, what are they?

Nancy, a 5 lb. box of See's arrived here at work from one of our vendors in Calif. Told the boss to take it home and he didn't!!! It's calling me...........Can't wait to hear about DS and his GF!! The ring sounds gorgeous--I'm a sapphire lover, too!

Elaine--GO HOME!!! You got time comin' to ya, don't ya?

Deena, glad the drawing names worked for ya. There were 6 kids in our family and as long as I can remember, I always bought for all of the others. When we were too young to have our own money, mom would write "From" one or two of us on each tag. Once we moved away from home, though, we didn't buy anymore.

That brings up a question I have been pondering. In my family, once we moved away from home, we didn't exchange gifts with any of the family any more--even mom and dad. My DH still exchanges with both his sons (one of whom is married) and his mom and I don't understand why--none of us even lives in the same state and we don't see each other that much. I hate for the boys to be spending money on buying us stuff that we can't use or don't really want. But I don't want to cause any hard feelings, either. Anybody got any suggestions on how to stop exchanging without hurting feelings?

152!!

Hopefully when I get back in a few hours  we will be moved!

Hi, Beth!! No suggestions here. I always give to everyone ;)
It's just in my nature. Even the icky in-laws that I don't care for. They just stopped giving one year, so you can do that.....just stop and then if they are only doing it out of obligation, they will stop too.

Sherry...take a nap! ;)

Well, Beth.....you must eat a few pieces. The ones with the sprinkles (or jimmies ;) ) are my favorite!
I finally opened our 2 pound box....now I need to be good. DD won't be here until tomorrow afternoon. Just me and all that chocolate!

 Everyone!

Had a wonderful time with my family over the weekend. Fri.
my one Sis, DS and I went to Magic Kingdom for a while. Was
just going to get a one day pass and got talked into Seasonal AP's  . It was very, very windy and cold but, we still had a blast. Sat. we did our Christmas thing, dinner and presents and back to reality on Sun.

Sorry to hear about all the yuckies going around.

Good to hear everybody enjoyed there parties and get togethers.

Must get back to work. Hope everyone is having a great day! ::yes::

We're still here?

Beth, never dreamed of being underwater when stuffed up.

Nancy, I wish I could take a nap. I did take a small one after taking some cold med. It knocked me out. Felt worse than before I took it.

Rose Mary, glad you had a nice weekend. :)

Because DH has a big family, we decided this year to only buy for the kids (my 4 and my nephew) and my FIL & MIL. This is the second year we've done this. Makes it soo much easier. :teeth:

Gotta get ready to take DS to his party soon. Have some errands to run while he is gone. Hope I survive. I'd rather stay home in my jammies and relax.

hopefully I'll get to see DBF for Christmas but we have a plan:) We'll go out to eat and see ROTK

Wish I could be at home... I actually have/had work to do  I'm supposed to be okay and goof off this time of year, right????

Anyway, I noticed we are still here... do you all want me to try to force close this again?

Sherry, I hope you feel better!

Bethie, we still exchange here as well, so no suggestions... sorry :( If I do think of something I will let you know! Oh and eat a few... calories don't count if they weren't intended for you in the 1st place ;)

Nancy, same goes for you too!!!

Rose Mary, I am so glad that you made it to WDW!!!! And with a seasonal pass, hopefully next time I am in WDW we can see each other!

Elaine, I'm with you! Suppose to be slow and not have to work this time of year but, since I'm new AND not the one on vacation this week I have everybody else's work to do. :( I'm swamped!
AND that's a date! However, since mine's a seasonal pass I hope you aren't here on my black out date.

afternoon all!
Finally finished shopping this morning. Now I have to wrap it all, but all I want to do is sleep.

So I will lay on the couch and think about wrapping presents. heck they could be virtual wrappings too!!!

Pam..unfortunately it wasn't a good preggers moment...:(

hugs to all!
tara

:yo-yo: just breezing through again.....darn people still expect me to work this week :(

 to all....

promise I'll really ketchup soon..................

I know how you feel...you think my students wanna do any LEARNIN' this week?? H*** no!!

Okay my new house now has my new couch and beds :D Just need to get some movers to move a few heavy things like our fridge so we can follow it over there :hyper:
We do exchange gifts with our families but our families are pretty small. We exchange with my grandma and mil/fil, bil/sil & 2 kids. I also exchange with one of my oldest & best friends and her family.
I enjoy the exchanging--especially when Im buy for my niece. Its so much fun to pick out stuff for her.
Tara I have nothing wrapped yet :( atleast some of it is from Santa--he doesnt wrap his gifts, lol.

Pam..unfortunately it wasn't a good preggers moment...

Tara - I'm assuming it was a yelling/screaming moment - and those can be cleansing for the soul!;) I still have them - and I'm not even preggers!!:p

Yay - Deena is getting stuff moved into her new house!!

just gaging interst:) I'm going to start sign ups for a candy exchange in the next week or so

Hey! Still here I see.
We only give gifts to the kids under 18. The adults give each other "the gift of time" and sometimes that is the hard thing to do. We make a point of being with each other AND we must make nice!:teeth:
$$ it is great as we can enjoy less pressure of buying for adults that usually don't "need"--We always buy something small for parents and usualluy stocking stuff for immediate in-house family. It is more enjoyable that way.

What's with Kim and school this week???
Yay for Deena on the move now!
Tara get down for that nap girl!
Rose sounds like you got a much needed break. Happy for you.
Sherry you too, nap time!
Wanda, seems like a nice dinner thing going with the DBF you enjoy. I am makin the food at our house. Yes you all heard right, me! the domestically challenged one feeding the family 2 days of Christmas tratition.
Everyone else--Hey!

See ya all on the other side!
