I still need wash, blow dry and that's it. I'm a no-fuss kind of gal. Can't deal with anything that takes too long....including sitting in a salon chair, I'm afraid.

Liz...great sounding basket :teeth:
Who is left to mail? We know that Pam's is going to scare someone anyday now.
RM's is on the way.
Kristy.....did yours go out?
And Sherry.....I think that's it.
::yes:: ::yes:: it's gonna surprise someone special :teeth:

Awww...but Nancy....sitting in the salon chair is so relaxing. I love having someone else wash my hair. Feels so refreshing after the cut is done.

Jeannie...All I can tell you is we have stainless steel...don't know anything else about 'em. They were a Christmas present from my parents.

Saving us from page 2... work out wore me out... I'm pathetic I know :p

Liz I am glad you like your basket;) Love the story about Greg
:D Can't wait to see pictures.

Quiet night tonight is everyone watching AI?? Or Survivor? Not much else on. Stll early here:rolleyes:

Deena congrats on Paying for trip:D it is always a great feeling of relief and knowing you are that much closer:hyper:

Nancy wish I could help you with the hairdoo but I LOVE having someone fix my hair. My only problem is I have naturaly curly hair and most people do not know how to cut it. I have had a lot of bad hair cuts. But it always grows back:D

Any spare hugs around? I have had the most awful day plus this dang cold is getting worse. Im sitting here like an idiot with tears running down my face. UGH.

Karrie. Let us know if we can provide an ear or some giggles.:)

Thanks for the cookwear advice ladies...

I'm wondering if Nancy's cookware is the hard anodized aluminum...that's the non-stick material that you can scrub and it doesn't flake up (but having tried my brother's realize that it sort of does stick a bit). I'm a multi-ply stainless fan myself but I think you have to be pretty diligent about cleaning, no? If you have a spill but let it stay on the stove it gets pretty cakey and hard, doesn't it? I think Nancy you're right...no matter what, you'll want something else and new later on.::yes::

Is anyone still awake and with me?;)

 Karen... I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Oh boy... I love that song Solitare that Clay sings... he just nails it!

I knwo I didn't catch up... and now it is late and I don't hink I have the time too... just worked out hard and got too tired to do it all. I'm sure you'll all forgive me though ;)

Tina, even with my loose curl/wavy hair, I've had some awful hair cuts as well. THat's why I like picking and sticking with someone I trust. Craig is great (Yay no Pam around to pick on me for now :p)

The anodized aluminium is different than that teflon stuff, but I still don't get it because I scratch that to all heck and back. Aluminium is great for cooking, but I like the charcteristics of the stainless better (scrubbing & utencil usage). Here's a big tip that I found for ALL types of pans when you leave them sit too long. Fill them up with a bit of water and bring them to a low boil... that will get everything stuck (including rice) off of the sides and bottom. I've done it on the anodized aluminum and my stainless. Not sure about the cast iron though... but it's so easy to clean any that way.

Here's something sad... I bought my pans nearly 4 years ago and I have no desire to switch them. I bought them for life  I may add to them, but I know I will stick with my brand. Silly how I got isn't it?

Hi YaYas! Been a rugged few days, but we are now all packed and ready for Las Vegas! We leave tomorrow a.m. and return Sunday afternoon.

Of course the weather is getting colder there and warmer here. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stay indoors. Wonder what I can find to do? Hmmm.

Kechup later...

At WHAT exactly, m'dear?;);) (Pam's pinch-hitter.:))

So the hard-anodized shows visible signs of scratching and scuffing? Is the exterior of your stainless a brushed finish? (I am just beside myself...I can't believe I'm talking about this stuff!:p:p)

Lily sneated...have fun in Vegas! Remember the Yaya clause about sharing winnings!;)

Karen:hug: I am sorry you had a bad day. Am always here if you need me. Hope you start feeling better soon.

My pots are the wolfgang puck line. Stainless steel. I still have some of my non-stick pans that I bought from QVC though. I love to cook and you can never have enough pots:D

Lily, have a wonderful trip to Vegas!!! We'll miss you more while you are gone (missed you lately that is). WIn some money for me ;)

The anodized aluminum pot that I used (my dad had bought it) did scratch on the inside. It was a decent pot (about $50ish maybe) but I could see the scratches. I don't notice or see them in my stainless. And sadly my rice stuck just as much to that type of non-stick as my stainless. It does come off of the teflon but that's the stuff I refuse to use now (sorry all). My stainless is shiny and still looks the same even after all the use and abuse over the last four years. Silly how I am so passionate about my pots & pans  I think that was the best $500-600 I spent! The funny thing about my brand, is that Emeril uses this brand to cook on (and not even his own which is a cheaper verson of All Clad... just tickles me)

Umm... that was I LOVE CRAIG!!! He cuts hair so wonderfully... happy yet? :p

Just makin' sure...you've got to be SPECIFIC with this crowd...you know how SOME will take anything you say and just turn it into something SCAAAAANDALOUS!:)

$500-$600!! Does that come with Emeril himself?;)

LOL, Jeannie!! I would hate for my thoughts to be mistaken for something they are not ;)

Yep, I think the set was $550... 10 pieces and a great range. I would like a couple other sizes but these really suit almost all my cooking needs. I've used them all regularly too so they all had a place. Remember though, these were bought for life in my eyes. I have no intention of replacing these ever, whereas others will have to replace theirs every few years... one way isn't bad or really better, but since I don't like having to shop, I am glad to have these and be done with it forever. Otherwise I'd probably be on my 2nd set of T-Fals by now ;)

I'm sure I sound like a snob, and I don't mean to, but between my All Clad and my Kitchen Aid mixer, I am one happy cook/baker ;)

Thankies for the hugs all. They are very appreciated. Just had one of those terrible horrible no good very bad days today. Tomorrow has got to be better. Went to chat for awhile and that helped cheer me up too.

Have a WONDERFUL time in Vegas Lilly!!!

500 to 600 hundred dollars for cookware?? Dh would drop in his tracks if I ever spent that much LOL.

550.00 for POTS??   I don't think I'll ever like cooking enough to spend that much money

Karen  hope tomorrow is better for you!!

Lily have fun in Vegas!! :teeth:

okay....I'm a slow reader....see several others have fallen over about the cooking price too ;) Elaine...no worries...I'll come to you when I need to buy a new set in a year or two ;) ;)
