Boy does Mickey call early in the Morning!
I figured out that age-old question! Does the coffee stay hot all night! Yes, only if you ask for the stainless steel carafes! If you get the white ones the coffee goes cold!
So if you need to order coffee for the following morning, make sure you ask for the Stainless!
Luckily, thanks to Ann Morin, knew that they had lockers to keep you stuff in, so I packed my beach bag so that whatever we needed would be handy. Unfortunately, the Magic does not hand out beach towels when you get off the ship like the Wonder does! Luckily, Karen was nice enough to bring them out when she realized we were all too asleep to realize that the towels on the bar were for us to take!
It was a bit of a cloudy/rainy day in St. Maarten but hey, we were going swimming! The boat to take us over there was running late and if I had known just how choppy a ride it was going to be, I would have had DD take a Bonine! She still had some in her system from the day before but it was kinda iffy at best!
When we arrived at the island, we had to go thru immigration? She was asking for passports but being Cdn, DCL had mine! Then looking around I realized I did not need one, Anguilla is a British Colony! It took a while for everybody to get thru and finally boarded buses! I noticed that there were a lot of goats on the island! Cute!
We arrive at the facility and are broken up into groups. Our group does the Parrots and Crab Races but we did not do the races! Then its in with the stingrays! They are slimy! Now its our turn with the Dolphins! That was the highlight so far! These animals are amazing! After our swim, we are asked to choose pictures. They now have a deal if you pick three; they will put all your pictures on a CD! I quickly picked three and off for lunch! It was mediocor at best but did enjoy! I love goat! Unfortunately, they seem to have not refilled anything so if you dont get there early enough, you wont get much for lunch! I also noticed a lot of people had overtaken on portions and just left the food! What a waste! I also enjoyed a nice cold Caribe! There is nothing like having their beer on their Turf!
The rest of the afternoon was to be spent on the beach but the waves were high and well not great swimming conditions! DD and I walked up and down the beach looking for SeaShells. She managed to find a Conch shell which she later donated to the kids club! Like I was gonna try and get that thru Customs! It also rained off and on and with not much to do, the afternoon dragged! It would have been nice to have the option of returning back to the ship early but was not! We ended up going back up to the main facility to check our pics. When I opened up the folder foundGazillion pictures! Was told that they were having problems with their program. If you ask me, it was the operator, not the computer! The colours are a bit off but hey I have lots and lots and lots of pictures! They forgot to do the CD so I had them do that up! All in all it was a great excursion! Oh yeah, the sun decided to come out just as we were ready to leave! We were held up once again and arrived late back to the pier! Decided not to go into town but do a little shopping around the port!
I did manage to get my Guavaberry Rum!
Tonight is Tropical Night and Tropicalifragilisticexpialidocious Deck Party! But DD was not having any part of it! She wore a Dress already and that was that! So off to the club for her!
Had a great time at the Deck Party! First time Ive ever had a Martini served in a Wine Glass! Interesting! They also had a buffet! Too much eating! But who was I to not partake! I did not want to hurt their feelings!
Off to bed for tomorrow is St. Thomas!
