Introductions:

Me - Jen, 31, have been to WDW 7 times.
Dh - Alex, 29, has been 5 times, loves the thrill rides.

As the title suggests it has been a bit of a nightmare getting to this point! We had a trip planned last year but had to cancel as Dh's sister announced 3 months before that she was getting married and so we had to cancel our trip :sad1: We ended up squeezing in a holiday to Egypt instead, it worked out quite nicely though as for the last couple of years Dh had been saying that he was getting bored of going to WDW and wanted to try something different. Well after 3 days of floating round a pool in Egypt he admitted that he was bored and wanted to go back to WDW! :cool1:

So, last September we boked our flights and car hire with Virgin, leaving Gatwick on the 9th August on the 1pm flight and getting back on the 27th. In January the DVC window opened and I started booking nights at the Beach Club Villas, we got wait listed for a few of the days but less than 24 hours later they came up and so our whole stay is there

The reason why we were not sure if the trip would happen is that in the last few months we have been on a bit of a rollercoaster ride which has included lows such as Dh being made redundant and highs such as my parents helping us to buy our first home.

We thought long and hard as to whether we should cancel again but decided to go as by the time all these things happened we had already nearly finished paying Virgin and we would lose over 300 DVC points if we cancelled. I did feel sick when I made the final payment last week and to be honest I still feel like something will stop us from going :sad1: I won't believe it until we are stepping on that plane!

I have made a plan, we usually only stick to it the first week though and then start changing things round. For some reason I found it really hard to make the plan this time and have changed it lots already and I'm sure it will change again  We both love waterparks and so try to do a few visits there.

8th August - travel to Gatwick and stay at the Sofitel, I love waking up and being able to see the planes!
9th - we are now flying on the 11:15am flight as I decided I wanted to get there earlier. We have passes to the VROOM :goodvibes
10th - first day is always MK and lunch is always at the Crystal Palace. We are going to OKW in the evening for a Dis meet.
11th - Epcot, we have an ADR at Le Cellier which we have never been to before.
12th - AK in the day and then MK in the evening as its late opening.
13th - Typhoon Lagoon.
14th - Hollywood Studios, ADR for Prime Time Cafe for lunch.
15th - Rest and shopping day.
16th - IOA, we have an ADR for Cape May Cafe in the evening.
17th - Blizzard Beach.
18th - Animal Kingdom or Epcot, ADR for Boma in the evening.
19th - Universal Studios and then MK for late opening again.
20th - Seaworld
21st - Typhoon Lagoon.
22nd - IOA
23rd - Beach
24th - Free day
25th - Blizzard Beach
26th - Animal Kingdom and then off to the airport for our flight home :sad2:

I haven't made too many ADRs, because it's just the two of us we have never had a problem getting into eat anywhere. I really want to eat at T-Rex but couldn't get an ADR so hopefully we can get a walk in. We also plan to eat at TGI Fridays, The Golden Corrall and lots of the places that Wayneg is always talking about!

So 9 weeks to go, flights, car hire and tickets all paid for and keeping everything crossed that we make it there!! :dance3:

I recommend the woolly mammoth stew - I have had it twice and it is really yummy at TRex:thumbsup2

ADRs look good:cool1:

we're on the same flight as you on 9th August and we'll be in the V-room as well! We're also going to the DIS meet on 10th. We fly home on 30th.

Your itinerary looks good, ours still needs lots of tweaking although we did get all the ADR's that we wanted.

Hopefully we'll be able to say hello in the V Room.

Looks good Jen. Have you tried calling T-Rex direct (407-828-8739) often they can fit you in when the Disney ADR system can't. :goodvibes

All sounds great Jen, hope you have the most magical time:goodvibes

2 months today we should just be landing!!:banana::banana:

Fingers crossed that everything goes to plan this time for you :thumbsup2

We favour the Sofitel and used the VROOM on our May trip - it was a fab way to start the holiday!

lovely to see the days counting down so quickly - they always go so much quicker when you reach double digits. Only 60 days from tomorrow! We've been lucky enough to book PE seats which I'm really excited about.

Any luck with T-Rex yet?

all sounds fab Jen, have a wonderful time :goodvibes

I to fly out on the 8th but we have got to fly into miami , planning to go to the Dismeet though so may see you there . Have a great flight everyone nearly time to fly whoo hoo :cool1:

We couldn't get a T-Rex ADR either so we rang the restaurant direct and got the slot we wanted. The holiday plans sound great.

I hope nothing spoils your holiday. I know the feelings your going through as my DH was getting made redundent during our last holiday, the relief when he was offered a job 2 days before we flew was huge.

we're hoping for some good news on the job front for DH - he's been out of work for 5 weeks now and the stress is definitely mounting! There we are in PE seats but not a bean to spend when we're there!
