The "why do we keep trying to cram all this stuff into one trip?" report!

So last night my mom and I went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, Hollywood. We had a great time! We're seriously having the most Halloweeny month ever; it's AWESOME! I thought a little mini TR would go along nicely with my Halloween PTR. Here are some pics from last night!

All these wonderful people were here to greet us.

The new Simpsons ride is AWESOME! We rode it three times

The terror tram was our favorite part of the night. You got to walk around on the backlot through movie sets in the dark with creepy people jumping out.

The theme was "live your worst nightmare" so there was Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface hanging around all night

We got to walk though the actual Bates motel! I couldn't believe it.

These pictures are a little hard to see but we walked through the set from War of the Worlds. There was an actual jet that was destroyed for the movie. It was HUGE!

Okay my mom tried to run past this guy and he chased her around for a while. It was hilarious. His chainsaw was so loud! I love the look on her face

I had to take a picture of this because I would be the first one to move onto this street

I love scary movies, but alas, can't do Universal for this until my kids are a bit older. . .

Yeah it was quite graphic. I can't post a lot of the photos on here XD I'm pretty hard to scare but they got a few shrieks from me. There's nothing like stumbling along a dark path and having Jason jump out of a shack waving his machete in your face haha. I had body bags hitting me in the face while I tried to run from Leatherface wielding a chainsaw :rotfl: If you like scary movies you'll really appreciate the attention to detail. But yeah, if I was a kid I would have been terrified

See, I can watch scary movies. . .any of them. I absolutely love the Saw series. But don't put Pennywise in front of me. He absolutely terrifies me and to this day, I don't understand how I can watch scary movies and be so terrified of a clown.

I love Saw too! I was ten when my parents thought it would be a good idea for all of us to watch It. Clowns are made of PURE EVIL!

I went to a small Presbyterian college in South Carolina. The chaplain when I went there was also a clown. I stayed away from him. He scared me. My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer while he was chaplain. I didn't go to him to talk. People kept telling me to go to him. He was a great counselor, they said. I couldn't get past the fact that he was a clown and scared me. I went across the road to the Associate Reformed Presbyterian minister for counseling.

XD I totally understand. There's just something off about them...

Alright, so I had heard that the bags that Disney gives you for Trick or Treating at MNSSHP weren't big enough so I decided to make my own! I wanted something Halloweeny of course. I've got the first one done.

Now I just have to make one more. I better hurry because the trip is coming up fast!

Thanks! It was my first time felting a project so I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. Plus, I did it by hand which is a little time consuming XD but i'm happy with it. Thanks for stopping in, I really appreciate it :goodvibes

:goodvibes Think nothing of it. I love when people visit my PTR, so I like visiting other people's, too. I also like seeing all the different ideas other people have for their trips.

That candy corn bag is so cute. I'll admit when it comes to horror movies and Halloween I'm a sissy. Well, what can I say...the Wizard of Oz and Willy wonka and the Chocolate Factory gave me nightmares.:lmao: And I had them after watching Pirates of the Caribbean.:scared1: I just don't do well with scary. But Disney at Halloween looks really fun.

I just found your PTR and I see that you will be at The World the same time as me and my fiance. We are going to MNSSHP the same night as you- maybe we will run into each other!!! :thumbsup2

Yeah it gives me good ideas for stuff to do; there's so much more at WDW than I realized before I joined the DIS!

Thanks! XD I can understand Willy Wonka - super creepy :rotfl: I like that Disney has halloween events that you can do with your kids. When I have kids someday i'm pretty sure that I won't be taking them to Halloween Horror Nights! :scared1:

That's awesome! Are you going to dress up as anything? I'm still trying to decide whether or not to wear a costume

We are dressing up as Mouseketeers! It's nothing elaborate- i had shirts made up from Zazzle and I am wearing a black skirt (Sam is wearing black shorts, not a skirt :lmao: :lmao: ) and we are getting original Mickey ears when we get down there.

Just catching up!
OMG the Universal Halloween night looks terrifying!!!!!! Fantastic, but absolutely terrifying!!!!
We saw the trailers for it last trip and the first time we saw them I honestly thought it was a trailer for a horror film!:scared1:
Everyone I know is terrified of clowns - so why do McDonalds still use one in their ads????? :confused3
Love the candy bags - more loot for you!

That's so cute! I love it when people put together their own costumes. The simple, unique ones are the most memorable.

QFT!

I love your pre trippie. You and your mom are quite cute together. It's so nice that you get to enjoy a special trip together.

Thanks for reading :) My mom and I spend most of our time together. People might think it's weird because i'm younger so I should be running around with friends but mom and I have been through a lot together. She's taught me more than anyone else ever could. I can't wait to just have a relaxing vacation with just the two of us!

I love how you described it - "fantastic, but absolutely terrifying!" It was exactly that. Those chainsaws were so loud that you couldn't help but run away  I don't know any kids that have ever liked clowns so I think McDonalds needs to get some new advertising. Who thought some old guy with a painted face, red hair and huge nose would be a hit :confused3

I made the bag extra strong; I heard someone saying they got 25 pounds of candy! :woohoo:

I think it's very sweet. I'm pretty young myself, and I used to spend tons of time with my mom. We are more like sisters than mother/daughter.
