We, Me, DD (16), DS (11) and DD (8) are going Aug 9 thru Aug 14.
Staying at the Poly. Just booked a couple of hours ago. Haven't even told the kids yet!!!

We will be at the Poly on Aug 23 to t he 30th. Can't decide whether to go concierge or not. I also got the 4 for 7 plan and the Hawaii is still available for my week.

Hey, cmonroe, we did the drive last August for 2 weeks from WMass and it took us 2 days (each way). This time we are flying and not staying as long - only 5 days from August 25 - 30. We will miss the drive but do not have the time.
Enjoy the trip - everyone told us we were CRAZY for vacationing in FL in August, but it was AWESOME. We hope to drive down again next year if DH has the time.

I've heard that from others as well. But you, I and the rest on this board know what makes us happy. And we'll do what is necessary to get it. We'll drive to Disney in August or fly down for 5 days. I don't bother arguing.... I just know any time that I spend with my family there is wonderful. Have a safe trip as well!

We will be at the AKL on August 27, the Poly GCV August 28 - August 31 then moving over the Universal Studios at the HRH for 3 days and coming back to the Pop Century through Labor Day weekend.

Hi Everyone....

First post to these forums...

We're heading to WDW in a couple weeks for our first trip as a family.

Got a great rate (I think) at AKL for 8 nights: $166/night, std pool view (whatever that means).

I know there are miles of posts on tips for first-timers, and I'm reading as fast as I can!

I look fwd to seeing many of you there 8/4-8/12!

I'm already so excited, I don't know where the additional excitement is going to go these next (a little less than) two weeks. It's been "next summer" or "sometime in the future" for so long that I can't believe it's almost here. I can't wait!!!

We'll be at the Wilderness Lodge Villas 8/3-8/8. Me, my DH, my mom and our three kids (ages 6, 7, & 9)! Yay!!!

I think I might have posted to this thread WAY back in the beginning but now that my counter says 30 days I just had to post!



Even though it will be HOT, rain and more crowded than I'm used to, I'm still VERY excited to be going to WDW!!! I'm even excited just to try a different time of year than I'm used to! I'm also excited because it will be my sister and niece's first trip ever! I hope they enjoy it as much as I do!
