Wow, you were close! When I went I didn't stay in DC, but we were right across the street from the Metro, so we only used our car to go from our house to there (12 hour drive

) We also had complimentary bus service at our hotel so it was great and we also got to experience old town Alexandria on the off hours (we were there during the summer). I wonder if I have pictures of our hotel, it was awesome, though the pool was wicked tiny and shallow, yet they still needed a lifeguard *facepalm*
Oooo... like what Sara(h) had. I had aches, chills, fever, bad stomach, weakness and dizziness for a day. I luckily slept most of the day, but it was pretty bad.
