hey friends - quick flyby.

Last night, we watched some friend's kids for the evening - they are 4, 6, 8, and 9. We took them to play putt putt and video games. We had frozen pizza at their house for dinner.

Tonight, we have a church event - grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Dinner is there!

Well at least I made it to page 2!

:cool1:

We are driving to Ventura and back today. 86 miles. My DP is a compulsive buyer and can't resist a deal. She got a Peter Ellenshaw painting (Aurora's Rescue) for $150 when everywhere else it was selling for $1200. The things we go through for her obsession.

As a result I doubt we will make it home in time to cook anything.

Jen - I hope your recovery improves. My DP says "getting fixed" was the best thing she ever did.

Brandi - I wish you luck on your surgery. I had a screw in my foot for about six months. It did it's job, but for me it was too painful to walk on it, so I had another surgery to have it taken out.

My wife isn't a compulsive buyer at all. But, she also loves her deals. But, I appreciate her planning. And the good news is, I won't have to buy chicken for at least 4 years. :woohoo:

And I agree with your partner, getting fixed is the best thing I've done for myself!

Kids..... teenagers....

I have a 33, 31, 27 and 18.... ughhhhhhh

It will get better I promise.

Wow, a hysterectomy, that is hard to overcome, glad you are doing as good as you are and that you will make it, you have to, you have a teenager....:rotfl:

I will be out of work for 6 weeks... not sure how i feel about that...

I'm going to remember you said that it gets better. ;)

And wow! 6 weeks out of work! You're going to need something to do all of that time.

We will entertain you here! :dance3:

Thanks Lindsay!!!!:goodvibes

DH and I go to a sale twice a year and buy 6 months of "stuff" at a time, we went in Sept, so we have about 7 cases of liquor in my house... Talk about a party!

That's a wonderful way to recover. Seems to me I had a similar recovery time and Fran took me to Napa Valley just before I had to go back to work.

Well.....I'm here at last.....on stinkin' page 3!!! But I can understand why! There's been a party going on here.

:scratchin I can tell that some of us are early thread hoggers! With this crowd, we definitely won't need to have any early bird specials around here. ;)

I have to have my foot operated on, removing some bone and putting in two screws, not my favorite thing, but it will make life better when I am all healed up!

I keep putting off so I am not sure:guilty:

That is a big decision! I hope that the recovery is not a painful one for you

I am told it is a painful surgery, and that it takes awhile to heal, but I also know that everyone is different.

So I am keeping my spirits high...
