The trip was WONDERFUL! I'm absolutely positive that my mom was looking after us. We were sprinkled with so much pixie dust! I'll put together a trip report and post it, if anyone is interested.

My DH is sooooooooo

He told me tonight that he has spent the last 3 weeks trying to up grade our Oct trip to the Wilderness Lodge ( my dream hotel ) as a wee surprise for the boy and I.

His plan was not to say anything till we drove onto Disney property.

But he hit a snag over the £££££ !!

Unfortunately our tour operator doesnt do WL so it would have meant rebooking and loosin our deposit.The price with other operators has gone up ( the sweetie has tried them all ) as well so it was going to be lots more.

We talked it over and decided we cant justify the extra money.
We really have to save for a trip every 2 years and we would rather have a head start on the next.

Its all about gettin to the magic and POP will do just fine.

Well, I crossed another hurdle in coming to meet some of ya'll for F&W! My girlfriend booked a room today! Checking in the 16th and checking out the 18th! I think she booked us at OKW (b/c a studio has 2 beds) but then we're waitlisted for BWV or BC, I can't remember which. I told DH, and he was cool with it! Woo Hoo!!!

...I am really getting so excited !!

Vickie -- That is sweet of your DH, but it sounds like you made the right decision. You'll have a great time no matter where you stay.

Gretchen -- Chicken pot pie freezes well. You'll have to let us know what you end up making. I wasn't very organized about freezing things last year, but I hope to change that this fall.

Liam's team won again tonight. They can't end the season at .500, but they could come close if they win their next two games. Every team makes the playoffs. They are supposed to play again tomorrow night, but the weather does not look promising.

Stephanie – I was going to hope you were able to go on the trip, but I see you ARE! Woohoo!

Aimee – I hope the trip is going well and that you are able to go on the F&W trip!

Kathy – You did not specify WHAT COLOR beans you had with your rice yesterday. My friend from Baton Rouge asked me if I knew that LSU was in the championship thing and I was able to tell “Of COURSE I know AND I know it’s in Omaha!” She was quite impressed, thinking that I’m following them so closely.

We were in the Honda place and I had looked at the Fit, then I saw the CRV on the way out. My mom wants a Rav-4 and I was getting it confused with the CRV, thinking it was the car my mom wants. I opened the door and it smelled so good (new car smell) and I was like “Edi! You gotta come SMELL this thing!” It really is a beautiful car!

Ellen – Your trip is coming up very soon! Are you all packed? Your yard sounds nice, by the way.

Lauara – That is great news for Greg passing his PT test. Also, I don’t know how you keep up with your kids and all their games and skating! They must really enjoy them though.

Vickie – Rest up! You don’t want Kat and Sheryl fussin’ at you. Sorry about the WL issue. Gives you a reason to go back!

Ann – I hope the car issue is nothing serious or expensive. I hope you are taking it easy too. Didn’t you have some tickers in your siggy?

Morning ladies! It looks like another hot one here today. I can't believe we're already in the 90s here for highs. Can only imagine what the end of July will be like. WFD tonight is going to be Tamale Pie if my mom feels like cooking. If not, probably pizza.

Vickie--that is super sweet of your DH to try to get WL! But you're right, POP will have the Disney magic too. I stayed at both and both have the magic you just can't get off property.

Laura--congrats to Liams team! Here's hoping they win out!

Ann--good luck with the car repairs. Those are never fun to have to pay for.

What a Sweet Guy your DH is!!!!!!!!!!!! You are going to have so much fun! no matter where you stay, better to be able to go back again. We loved staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge but on our last vacations, as much as I wanted to book there again we chose a less expensive resort so that we would not blow the budget. I would rather go more often and stay cheaper.

I noticed that the color was omitted too

My niece has a Rav-4 and loves it. It is a slightly smaller version of my Highlander, which I absolutely love!

It is rainy and raw here so I think I may need to modify my original dinner plans. I thought that I would grill a sirloin steak and roast potatoes on the grill with onions but now I am regrouping. I am going to wait and see if it clears, if not I'll make a meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

Ann- tough luck on that converter! I think it is a pricey repair, we had it replaced on the Saturn and I think it was about $1200 several years ago. Dan's Vibe needs it replaced and he is not happy. I hope that the price for your car is not out of control

Good news! Marisa scored tickets to take Kady and a friend to see Miley Cyrus in concert! She had to join the fan club and of course there was a fee for that but then she was able to get the presale code. THe seats are not great but they are seats. I am going to check on saturday to see if we would have been better off waiting til then for seats, we were afraid that we would nto get them though, so .

The mechanic said it is going to be $400-500 just for the parts alone.
He is a friend of Ron's from high school, so generally labor is not to bad. I still think it is going to be around $800.
