When I was in hs in the late 90's I watched Paradise Lost, and followed the case of the wm3 for a while when I was in college and taking Criminology and Psych courses, the case is sad all around and I was really intrigued by it. Anyway, I haven't really thought too much about it until today. If you have a chance go to www.wm3.org and read up on this case and the 3 boys that were murdered and the 3 men that are in jail for their murders. Anyone wanting to discuss this case feel free, I'm always up for a great discussion.

I have followed the WM3's story for years. I went to Lollapoolza concert back in 2002 and there was a booth there that showed clips of Paradise Lost and other documentaries and we were given cards with the website on it. It is sad case for everyone involved and it has been obivious that police mishandled several things.

That movie has stuck with me for a loooong time, especially the actual footage of when they found the little boys. I didn't need that in my head.
Anyway, I know I am not adding much value to the conversation, but I don't know what to think in this case. Certainly mishandled by the police, but I am not super confident in the WM3's innocence to say "Let them out". I think the father and/or stepfather in this case should be looked at a little closer.

I agree with you...I think these boys need to be awarded a new trial, away from their hometown, far, far away. Everybody deserves justice in this case and I think the only way for that to happen is basically to start from scratch with the investigation and trial.

i've followed the wm3 case. larry king had a live show about it last night,it was really good. the transcripts may be on cnn. this case has been a travesty of justice from the beginning. i didn't watch paradise lost i don't think i could sit through it but i did read a book about it,will have to try to find the title of it. i hope the arkansas supreme court overturns their convictions and they get new trials.

I seen it as well, in the wee hours of the morning, this morning while at work.

I found the transcripts awhile ago.

The WM3 have gained a lot of support throughout the years from the celebrities. Mandy Moore mentioned them on twitter once.

I may be mistaken but I think Barry Sheck's Innocence Project is looking into this case (for those who may not know, Innocence Project is a group of investigators and attorneys who look into cases of those wrongly convicted in hopes of getting said convictions overturned)

I've been following this case for the last 10 years! It absolutely sickens me to think that these 3 boys(men now) were convicted based on the "evidence" that the boys wore trenchcoats, listened to Pink Floyd and read Shakespeare-yes, these were actual things brought up in evince! By this logic, half of the population should be guilty:sad2: I have watched the docs, read the books and I follow regularly on their website. They have a great messageboard, altho I have never actually registered. I spend a lot of time lurking!

Here is a link to the Callahan document archive. This is pretty much EVERYTHING regarding the case. I've read a large majority of it, but it is really tough(sad, frustrating) to get through.

I think that the murder of the three little boys was a horrendous act. I pray for their familuies every day that they find comfort. On the other hand, I think it is just as horrific that 3 innocent men have spent most of their lives in prison because the good ol' boys don't want to admit to their mistakes. I hope and pray ever day that Damien, Jason and Jessie get to experience life outside of a cell.
