The weekly Apprentice thread...

Trump made the first move asking Heidi about her mother, she didn't go to him. She always adressed him as "Mr Trump" so I don't think she got too friendly. She was just responding to his friendly move (which I bet the producers told him to do, to make him look compassionate).

I'm glad Tammy got it, she was annoying.

They are down to 9 people. I wonder at some point if they will go to individual competitions rather than team, like Survivor after the merge.

<font color=navy>I'm glad that Katrina's team (was that Protoge?) won just because they keep losing. I'm rooting for Troy, and don't think he played underhanded. They're all going for that big job, and I don't think anyone should really trust anyone else. His good boy attitude hides a pretty tough guy.

That part where Omarossa played ball ... I don't know ... I wonder if she was put up to that to add more controversy to the show. I can't believe that she would go play while on camera after bailing out of the work - it just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm glad Tami went - she's been hampering her team for awhile now -- although I'll miss opportunities to watch her comments

That excuse Katrina gave about having to babysit Tami ... I know she had been concerned about what Tami might have said to prospective buyers, but she could have told the other team to watch her. Since real estate is her forte, she should have been there to close the deal instead of Bill.

Trump faces the ones who have left the show so far on Oprah today. I want to watch that. :)

How was the Oprah show?? Did anyone see it?

I agree something was strange about Omarosa this week. I'm no fan of hers, but it was odd that she complained of a H/A and then went to play B-ball....Knowing she is on the show for a job interview. I didn't think much of her, but I didn't think she was stupid. Was it crafty editing?

I didn't think Troy did anything wrong. Katrina acted very badly about the whole thing all the way around. I was hoping she would go.

I thought Tammy needed to go sometime, for the obvious reasons. But she agreed with Trump that their team was duped! And he called that disloyal. I thought it was just honest.

I like Amy, Kevin, Bill, and Troy. I'd like to see any one of them advance.

<font color=navy>Heidi's mother is sick, and I think they've got to operate on her. Her mother wants her to stay, and she wants to stay. Trump asked her to stay in the boardroom after the morning talk, and asked her if she was okay & was she sure she wanted to stay.

I also none of us mentioned Kwami.... he's the quiet one.

I never forget about Kwame, MJ, I think he's doing a great Survivor thing, staying UNDER the radar.

I agree with MJ also about the basketball thing. It reminds me of the time that Sam was nodding off during a challenge...... there was NO WAY he didn't know he was being taped and Omarosa HAD to know.

I'm guessing that she stays on for awhile, Trump and the powers that be know that controversy keeps people coming back.

<font color=navy>I agree about Kwame - I think he's taking mental notes.

Trump and his oldest son were on Oprah. His girlfriend (the one Tammi asked how she cleaned that apartment) was in the audience.

Three of the former players came on stage - Sam, Kristy, and Jessie. They all had something positive to say about their experience. Then Kristy turned to Jessie, called her a conniver, and then decked her...

oh, wait -- I was fantasizing at that time...

They all smiled, and that was the end of that segment.

I'm really thinking that Omarosa might be an actress "planted" by Trump to keep the tension going. Has anyone else thought this?

My husband thinks this as well.

Also heidis mom has stage one colon cancer, and she was getting an operation regarding it...

I missed the Oprah show, it sounds too polite!

Interesting :teeth: I never thought of this!!!

Right now this is the show I cannot miss :hyper: Every week it is just so interesting!

I wonder. She had worked in the Clinton Whitehouse, why would she be on a show like this?

One question about this weeks show. Did they have some kind of budget to work with for the renovations? They never mentioned how much money each team put into the apartment. It seems to me that should have been a factor. Katrina said she hired a general contractor. A friend and I were talking about this and I watched the show again today (I was doing some other things at the same time so I taped it in case I missed part) and it was never mentioned.

Our local news went out to Troy's mother's house (the one he bought for her) and had a long interview. He has been taking care of the family for years. He has a developmentally delayed sister who only signs. The whole time they were talking as a family they all signed along with speaking. He so genuinely loves his family, and seems like a great guy. If he makes the final two maybe i will go to the Boise bash for the final episode !

I just wanted to say this is the my favorite new reality show. I agree with most of Trump's firing decisions, but have a question. Does it seem to anyone else that he is promoting ill feelings between certain members of each group? It seems that he may be doing so to up the # of viewers and make it more interesting. I would think more conflict/romance = more viewers. After all, it is a reality show. Who else thinks Trump could use a new hair-do?

Trump actually mentioned his hair on Oprah.
He said everyone always comments on it, trying to get him to change his "comb over." He said, "Come on, is it really that bad?" And the audience started laughing.

Yes, Donald, it is that bad.

Love the show. One of the few we watch.

I was very surprised that Katrina wasn't the one fired but have to admit that I am glad it was Tami. Tami was a hindrance to her team. Last week with the auction she kept throwing out these ideas that the celebratites hated and wouldn't give up on them. This week she kept upsetting the contractor who was working for very cheap. In the long run, she was the weaker link of the team.

I was surprised that Katrina had Bill do the negotiating but I think she was trying to delegate some of the tasks out and Bill said he could handle it. I think even Bill expected to do better than he did.

As for the whole "unethical" issue...does anyone here work in real estate. I am asking because two people I know who do feel that Troy was very unethical also. While I don't agree with eavesdropping on conversations, I felt Katrina was dumb to have it out in the open where he could hear. But the two people I know in Real Estate used the same word "unethical" and I couldn't help but wonder if there are some unwritten rules in real estate that he might have crossed the line with. Another reason I wondered this was because Trump never said that Troy wasn't unethical or that he didn't cross a line.

As for Omarossa, I do hope she goes next. I didn't like the way she treated Jessi and Heidi in the boardroom last week and now this week with the headache and not working was ridiculous. I mean she was laughing when the piece of plaster hit her and everyone said it was small. I mean if there was any chance of a problem, don't you think she would have been sent to a hospital..after all Trump isn't about to open himself to a negligence lawsuit since it is his show and was his building site.

As for her playing with the camera on her, I can't help but wonder if the camera's are not visible sometimes or if they are not always on. After all, it would have been very easy to have a crew hidden on the street. Either that or some of these guys are very stupid given some of the things said.

I'm not IN real estate yet, legally because I'm one class away from my license but I cannot imagine why anyone would consider what he did as "unethical"... Aside from the business they are playing a game for a reward. Troy knew exactly what he was doing and he was playing to win. As he said in his bio, he's a street smarts kind of guy. :teeth:

I wonder if your RE friends are routing for Katrina because of her profession? I know I was BEFORE the last show. Her age showed in a not too professional way.
